In a game of darts, the dart thrower releases the dart directly at the center of the target (the "bull’s eye") with a speed of 1

3.0 m/s, and the dart strikes the wall, 0.23 m directly below the center of the target. How far from the wall, along the x-axis, was the dart released?

Answer:2.81 m

Explanation:

Given

speed(u)=13 m/s

dart strikes 0.23 m below

i.e. vertical distance traveled by dart is 0.23 m

considering dart motion similar to Projectile

h=ut+\frac{at^2}{2}

0.23=0+\frac{9.8t^2}{2}

t=0.216 s

Horizontal distance travel by dart =u\times t

=13\times 0.216=2.81 m

Why would north america will not be able to view the eclipse
Flauer [41]

The North America will not be able to view the eclipse because of its location on the earth caused by the tilting of the earth.

<h3>Effect of tilting of the Earth</h3>

The tilt of the Earth is what causes seasons to occur. These are the seasons in relation to the Northern Hemisphere.

The tilting of the Earth causes the difference in the amount of sun reaching each region of the earth like in the North America continent.

Thus, the North America will not be able to view the eclipse because of its location on the earth caused by the tilting of the earth.

Vapor pressure is related to the temperature of the liquid. user: in an open system, the vapor pressure is equal to the _____. i
iVinArrow [24]

Answer

-Directly;  outside air pressure

Vapor pressure is directly related to the temperature of the liquid. user: in an open system, the vapor pressure is equal to the outside air pressure.

Explanation;

-As the temperature of a system increases, the average kinetic energy of the molecules increases in both the liquid and gas phases.

-A higher average kinetic energy facilitates the escape of molecules from the liquid phase into the gas phase. At the same time, the rate of return of gas phase molecules to the liquid also increases. A new equilibrium point is reached at a higher gaseous vapor pressure. The increase in vapor pressure with temperature is exponential.

Liula [17]
<span>To know if there were other factors that affected the volume of a gas, Genaris and her classmates should: </span>"formulate a new hypothesis with the same dependent variable but a different independent variable as the original hypothesis." In this case, the dependent variable is the volume of the gas and the new independent variable is a factor they think will affect the volume of the gas.
