Use this equation:

q = mc∆T

q is the heat energy your trying to find out

m is the mass of water (150g)

c is the specific heat capacity of water (4.18)

∆T is the temperature change (96.3-38.8)

so just multiply m c and ∆T to find q in joules

A chemical change involves a change in ________. A chemical change involves a change in ________. phase the elements of a molecu
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

All of the above.

Explanation:

Chemical changes occur when a substance combines with another to form a new substance, called chemical synthesis or, alternatively, chemical decomposition into two or more different substances.

This process is not reversible and a change of energy that is sometimes heat is given off.

In neutron moderation, neutrons are slowed down so that:
erastovalidia [21]

B. Nuclear fission reactions are slowed down as well.

Neutron moderation is a substance which slows down neutron. In some reaction moderator is same as coolant.

This is also used to slow down nuclear fission reaction and continue chain reactions.

The collision between neutron and nuclei is more elastic and more neutrons will be slowed due to size of the neutron.

Draw the alkane formed when 4,5,5-trimethyl-1-hexyne is treated with two equivalents of hbr.
AveGali [126]

Answer:

The Alkane formed is 5,5-dibromo-2,2,3-trimethylhexane. as shown below in attached scheme (Green Color).

Explanation:

Alkynes like Alkenes undergo Electrophillic Addition Reactions. The reaction given is a two step reaction. In step 1, the Alkyne adds first equivalent of HBr obeying Markovnikov's rule (i.e. Bromine will add to carbon containing less number of hydrogen atoms) and forms 2-bromo-4,5,5-trimethylhex-1-ene. In step 2, the alkene formed in first step (2-bromo-4,5,5-trimethylhex-1-ene) undergoes addition reaction with the second equivalent of HBr via Markovnikov's rule to produce 5,5-dibromo-2,2,3-trimethylhexane.

The scheme is attached below, Blue color is assigned to starting Alkyne, Red color is assigned to intermediate Alkene and Green color is assigned to product Alkane respectively.
