Answer: Moseley's research led to the reorganization of the elements based on their atomic number instead of atomic mass.

Explanation: Before Moseley, Mendeleev arranged the elements in order of increasing atomic weights. Mendeleev said the physical and chemical properties of an element are periodic function of their atomic weights. But later he found many discrepancies as elements with similar properties were arranged in different groups.

Later, Moseley said the physical and chemical properties of an element are periodic function of their atomic numbers.

He coined Moseley's Law, which says, the frequency of x-ray radiation has a direct relation to atomic number of the element. The elements with similar properties were arranged in similar groups.
