P1/T1=P2/T2 Gay Lussac's Law

3.2/301=P2/285

P2= 3.0 atm (3.0299003322 rounded to 2 sig figs)

So we can apply the combined gas law here which is P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2
P1= 3.2atm
P2=?
T=301K
T2=285K

3.2atm/301K = P2/285K

P2=3.0299atm

A solution of citric acid (H₃C₆H₅O₇) with a known concentration of 0.200 M H₃C₆H₅O₇ is titrated with a 0.750 M NaOH solution. Ho
Anestetic [448]

The quantity of NaOH required to reach the third equivalence point is 20mL.

Using the titration formula,

CaVa/CbVb = Na/Nb

Where,

Ca = concentration of citric acid (0.200 M)

Cb = concentration of NaOH (0.750 M)

Va = Volume of citric acid (25.0 mL)

Vb = volume of NaOH (x mL)

Na = number of reacting mole of citric acid (3)

Nb = number of reacting mole of NaOH (1)

Therefore Vb ( x mL) =CaVaNb/CbNa

= 0.2× 25×3/0.75 ×1

= 15/0.75

                   Vb ( x mL) = 20 mL

Which class of compounds contains only carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen?
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

Nitrogen forms many thousands of organic compounds. Most of the known varieties may be regarded as derived from ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, cyanogen, and nitrous or nitric acid. The amines, amino acids, and amides, for example, are derived from or closely related to ammonia.

Explanation:

A carbohydrate has only Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen, with the hydrogen and oxygen in the ratio 2:1.

Examples are glucose C6H12O6 and table sugar C12H22O11

A protein is made of amino acids. Amino acids have an amino group which is −NH2.

So without nitrogen atoms the compound cannot be a protein.

Nucleic acids are organic compounds that contain carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen but they also contains phosphorus and oxygen. They are made of smaller units called nucleotides.

So;

Simple Amines are the class of organic compounds that only contains Carbon, Hydrogen and Nitrogen.
