The Cell Theory States that:
1. cells are the basic unit of structure and function in living things
2. all living things are made up of cells
3. living things come only from other living cells
It does not state that a Microscope is needed to see all cells. In fact, the largest cell is an Ostrich cell.
Hope this Helps!

Answer:

Option living things come only from other living cells

Explanation:

The cell theory basically takes the cell to be the basic building unit of the living substance. In other words, cells are basic building blocks of living things. In addition, the cells can be seen under a microscope. This is true as the cell organelles, or sub particles, are seen and magnified under very powerful magnifying electron microscopes.

All living things are made up of living cells - this is true as well, as the cell is the basic unit of life.

The false statement is: living things come only from other living cells.

This is not true as cells have to be specific, e.g. a plat cell cannot generate a mammalian cell

When nitrogen dioxide gas dissolves in water, an aqueous solution containing dissolved nitric acid and nitrogen monoxide forms.
xeze [42]

Answer:

1. Based on the given question, 138.03 grams of NO₂ is reacting completely with 18.02 grams of H2O. However, in case when 359 grams of NO₂ is used then the grams of water consumed in the reaction will be,

= 359 × 18.02 / 138.03 = 46.87 grams of water.

2. As mentioned in the given case 138.03 grams of NO₂ generates 126.04 grams of HNO₃. Therefore, 359 grams of NO₂ will produce,

= 359 × 126.04 / 138.03

= 327.81 grams of HNO₃.

3. Based on the given question, 138.04 grams of NO₂ is generating 30.01 grams of NO. Therefore, 359 grams of NO₂ will generate,

= 359 × 30.01 / 138.04

= 78.04 grams of NO.

If a neutral atom has 22 protons within its nucleus, how many electrons will it have orbiting the nucleus?
astraxan [27]

Answer:

If a neutral atom has 22 protons inside its nucleus, it will have 22 electrons orbiting the nucleus.

Explanation:

An atom is the smallest amount of matter that undergoes chemical changes and is made up mainly of subatomic particles: electrons, protons and neutrons. The atomic nucleus is made up of protons, with a positive electric charge, and neutrons, which have no charge, while electrons, with a negative electric charge, revolve around the nucleus.

A neutral atom is one that lacks an electrical charge due to a trade-off between the number of its protons and electrons. In other words, although it has an electric charge, it is balanced between protons, electrons and neutrons. So in a neutral atom, the number of electrons equals the number of protons because the negative charge of the electrons is offset by the positive charge of the protons.

A compound contains 24.27% C, 4.07% H and 71.65% Cl. The molar mass is about 99g.
Schach [20]

Answer:

Molecular formula = C₂H₄Cl₂

Explanation:

Molecular formula:

Molecular formula consist of symbols of elements present in compound with numbers of atoms of each element in subscript.

Empirical formula:

It is the simplest formula gives the ratio of atoms of different elements in small whole number .

Given data:

Percentage of hydrogen = 4.07%

Percentage of Cl = 71.65%

Percentage of carbon = 24.27%

Molar mass = 99 g/mol

Molecular formula = ?

Solution:

Number of gram atoms of H = 4.07 / 1.01 = 4.0

Number of gram atoms of Cl = 71.65 / 35.5 = 2.0

Number of gram atoms of C = 24.27 / 12 = 2.0

Atomic ratio:

           H              :          C             :         Cl

          4/2            :        2/2            :       2/2

           2               :          1             :        1

C : H : Cl = 1 : 2 : 1

Empirical formula is CH₂Cl.

Molecular formula:

Molecular formula = n (empirical formula)

n = molar mass of compound / empirical formula mass

Empirical formula mass  = 12+1×2+ 35.5 = 49.5

n =  99/49.5

n = 2

Molecular formula = n (empirical formula)

Molecular formula = 2 ( CH₂Cl)

Molecular formula = C₂H₄Cl₂
