Step-by-step explanation:

1. If Paolo pays $19.50 and Raoul $22.35 we need to rest values:

$22.35 - $19.50 = $2.85 Saves Paolo

2. Each bow requires 34 yards of ribbon, if she does 50 she need:

34 yards x 50 bows = she needs 1700 yards of ribbon, having saying this, if you have only the 4 options described, she will need to purchase the smaller amount of ribbon. (Letter A) because she’ll had more than enough to make the 50 ribbons and is the less amount.

3. If the basketball player is 167.64 cm tall, and 1 inch is equal to 2.54 cm the heigh of the player:

167.64 cm / 2.54 = 66 inches  tall

4. On this exercise you do not mentioned any unit of measurement, yet we are going to call them u (34 u of paint). If she painted 3 walls with 34 u of paint:

34u / 3 walls = 11.33 u of pain on each wall

5. If the water level changed in year 1 -1110 in and in year 2 -125:

-1110 in -125 in = -1235 in (in total )

What is the equation of the line shown in the graph?
postnew [5]

The slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

The formula of a slope:

m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

We have the points (-3, 1) and (2, -4). Substitute:

m=\dfrac{-4-1}{2-(-3)}=\dfrac{-5}{5}=-1

Therefore we have the equation of a line

y=-1x+b\to y=-x+b

Put the coordinates of the point (-3, 1) to the equation:

1=-(-3)+b

1=3+b      <em>subtract 3 from both sides</em>

-2=b\to b=-2

<h3>Answer: y = -x - 2</h3>

Solve each system using SUBSTITUTION. Remember to check!
Annette [7]

Answer:

\left \{ {{x=3} \atop {y=-7}} \right.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can directly substitute y of the first equation to the second equation.

-2x - 1 = 3x - 16

5x = 15

x = 3

Substituting back to any of the two equations, we get y = -2(3)-1 = -7.  If you check with the second equation, y = 3(3)-16 = -7 as well.

Therefore \left \{ {{x=3} \atop {y=-7}} \right..

use the given conditions to write an equation for the line in point slope form passing through (-5,7) and (-8,6)
KengaRu [80]
Point slope form is
y-y1=m(x-x1)
where slope=m
and (x1,y1) is a given point

slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
slope=(6-7)/(-8-(-5))=-1/(-8+5)=-1/-3=1/3

pick any point
(x,y)
(-5,7)

y-7=1/3(x+5) or
y-6=1/3(x+8)
