Answer : Phenolphalien turn pink in the presence of a base.

Phenolphthalien : It is an indicator which is used in the acid-base titration.

In acidic medium, the phenolphthalien is colorless and the pH will be less than 7.

In basic medium, the phenolphthalien is pink in color and the pH will be greater than 7.

Phenolphthalien is slightly soluble in the water and highly soluble in alcohols.

Hence, the phenolphalien turn pink in the presence of a base.

Isotope b has a half-life of 3 days. a scientist measures out 100 grams of this substance. after 6 days has passed, the scientis
Brilliant_brown [7]
So half life is the time taken for a sample to decay to half its original mass, its a constant and applies to any original mass, it could be 5g or 1kg, it will take the same amount of time for the original mass to half. In this case the half life is 3 days.

After 3 days the sample will be at half its original mass, now 50g.

Now we can treat the 50g as if its a new sample. After another 3 days (6 days in total) there will be half of 50g left, = 25g.

The final electron acceptor of the electron transport chain that functions in aerobic oxidative phosphorylation is The final ele
MissTica

Answer:

The final electron acceptor of the electron transport chain is oxygen

Explanation:

Four electrons gotten from cytochrome c are involved in the conversion of a molecule of oxygen (O2) to two molecules of water (H2O). This final electron transfer occurs in complex IV. Complex IV, also known as cytochrome c oxidase, facilitates the the use of four protons from the matrix of the mitochondrion, in the production of water molecules while pumping four protons to the intermembrane space of the mitochondrion.

Which term represents the fixed proportion of elements in a compound
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:

Chemical formula.

Explanation:

A chemical formula have fix proportion of atoms of elements.

Chemical formula:

A chemical formula is the way of presenting the chemical proportion of atoms of those elements, that combine to form a compound.

For example:

Water consist of two atom of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. The atoms of both elements combine to form a compound i.e water. The atoms of both elements always combine in a fixed ratio which is 2:1 in molecule of water.

H₂O

2:1

Carbon dioxide consist of two atom of oxygen and one atom of carbon. The atoms of both elements combine to form a compound i.e carbon dioxide. The atoms of both elements always combine in a fixed ratio which is 1:2 in molecule of carbon dioxide .

CO₂
