Each person should ride the bike for 4 miles, so that every one has to walk 8 miles and ride 4 miles.
If they had 2 bikes, each person will ride for 8 miles, 4 miles on each bike, and then walk 4 miles.
Line passing through point (-2, -3) with a slope of -6 is (y - (-3)) = -6(x - (-2)) => y + 3 = -6(x + 2)
Circumference is found with the formula
c = pi × d
d is diameter and we will use 3.14 for pi.
The diameter is the measure across the center of the circle. In the first problem, you are given the radius, so we have to multiply by 2 to get the diameter. Then we can use the formula.
12.4 in × 2 = 24.8 in (that's the diameter)
c = pi × D
c = 3.14 × 24.8
c = 77.872 inches
circumference is 77.872 inches.
