Answer:

For series connected resistors I = 0.5A

For parallel connected resistors I = 8.5A

Explanation:

Since the diagram is not available, our solution will be divided into two;

According to ohm's law which states that "the current passing through a,metallic conductor at constant temperature is directly proportional to the potential difference across its ends. Mathematically, E = IRt where;

E is the electromotive force

I is the total current in the circuit

Rt is total equivalent resistance.

Where E = 12volts

Rt can be gotten depending on the arrangements of the resistors which can either be in series or parallel.

If the resistors are in series, their equivalent resistance gives;

Rt = 4.0Ω+6Ω+8Ω+6Ω

Rt = 24Ω

The current I will be;

I = E/Rt = 12/24

I = 0.5A

If the connection is in series, the total current in the circuit will be 0.5A.

For resistance in parallel;

1/Rt = 1/4Ω+1/6Ω+1/8Ω+1/6Ω

1/Rt = 6+4+3+4/24

1/Rt = 17/24

Rt = 24/17Ω

I = E/Rt

I = 12/(24/17)

I = 12×17/24

I = 8.5A

If the connection is in parallel, the total current in the circuit will be 8.5A

One or more calcium ions (Ca+2) combine with one or more chlorine ions (Cl-1). What is the resulting formula?
N76 [4]
The formula is CaCl2 as you need two Cl ions in order to combine with one Ca ion in order to form a neutral compound i.e. You need to have the same amount of charges therefore  you have two Cl ions which have  -1 charges for one +2 Ca ion.
Hope this helps :).

Two timpani (tunable drums) are played at the same time. One is correctly tuned so that when it is struck, sound is produced tha
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given

Wavelength of first timpani \lambda _1=2.2\ m

Frequency corresponding to this Wavelength

f_1=\frac{v}{\lambda _1}

where v=velocity\ of\ sound (343 m/s)

f_1=\frac{343}{2.2}

f_1=155.9\ Hz

Wavelength of Second timpani \lambda _2=2.1\ m

Frequency corresponding to this Wavelength

f_2=\frac{v}{\lambda _2}

f_2=\frac{343}{2.1}=163.33\ Hz

Beat frequency =f_2-f_1

Beat frequency =163.33-155.9=7.43

so approximately 7 beats per second

If a solution surrounding a cell is hypotonic relative to the inside of the cell, in which direction will water move?
BabaBlast [244]

Answer:

If the cell is placed in a surrounding solution which is hypotonic in nature.

Then the water from outside of the cell to the inside of the cell. The water will keep on moving from the outside of the cell to the inside of the cell.

The flow of water will take place until the outside environment of the cell and the inside of the cell becomes equal.

The flow of water will take place from the outside of the cell to the inside of the cell.
