gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

The current in the heater is 12.5 A

Explanation:

It is given that,

Power of electric heater, P₁ = 1400 W

Power of toaster, P₂ = 1150 W

Power of electric grill, P₃ = 1560 W

All three appliances are connected in parallel across a 112 V emf source. We need to find the current in the heater. We know that in parallel combination of resistors the current flowing in every branch of resistor divides while the voltage is same.

Electric power, P_1=V\times I_1

I_1=\dfrac{P_1}{V}

I_1=\dfrac{1400\ W}{112\ V}

I_1=12.5\ A

So, the current in the heater is 12.5 A. Hence, this is the required solution.

shusha [124]

Answer:

Two.

Explanation:

  • A standing wave or stationary wave are the type of wave in which it oscillates with time but the amplitude does not move.
  • One complete wave consists of two loops.
  • It means that when the receiver moves through one cycle, two maxima of standing wave pattern the receiver pass through.

Different between conventional and non conventional energy sources
masha68 [24]

CONVENTIONAL SOURCE OF ENERGY:

The conventional sources of energy are generally non-renewable sources of energy, which are being used since a long time. These sources of energy are being used extensively in such a way that their known reserves have been depleted to a great extent.

At the same time it is becoming increasingly difficult to discover and exploit their new deposits. It is envisaged at known deposits of petroleum in our country will get exhausted by the few decades and coal reserves are expected to last for another hundred years. The coal , petroleum, natural gas and electricity are conventional sources of energy.

>Conventional sources of energy are not abundant, present in limited quantity, e.g. coal, petroleum, natural gas.

>conventional source have been in use for a long time.

>conventional source aren’t refill continuously. They are formed over a million years.

>Conventional source are called non-renewable fuel sources of energy.

> Conventional source are mostly used industrial and commercial purposes.

NON-CONVENTIONAL SOURCE OF ENERGY:

Energy generated by using wind, tides, solar geothermal heat and biomass including farm and animal waste as well as human excreta is known as non-conventional energy. All these sources are renewable or inexhaustible and do not cause environment pollution. More over they do not require heavy expenditure.

> Non-conventional sources of energy are abundant in nature, e.g. solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy, bio-gas from biomass etc.

>Non-Conventional source are development phase over the past few years.

>Non-conventional source are continuously fill by natural processes.

>Non-conventional source are called renewable source of energy.

>Non-conventional source are mostly used for household purposes.

inn [45]
The phenomenon that is observed when an incident ray travelling in a slower medium strikes the boundary of a faster medium with an angle greater than the critical angle is known as total internal reflection.
Total internal reflection results in the the ray being reflected within the medium, instead of leaving it after undergoing diffraction. This phenomenon is the working principle of optical fibers.

How does moon appears to mov e across the night sky
trasher [3.6K]

Answer:

The moon moves because the earth rotates around its axis of rotation. Although the moon moves too around its orbit, the speed is too small to notice. In other words, the moon's position changes insignificantly, however, the earth rotates fast enough to notice.
