What is the difference between free fall and weightlessness

Freefall can only be experienced when gravity is the only force acting on you. Weightlessness can be experienced on earth with air resistance and gravity like on a rollercoaster when you are just about to go down the hill.

Free fall means your falling because of gravity and weight and will eventually hit the ground without any protection. weightlessness means a place or time where there is no gravity and you're floating and not falling.

If we neglet air resistance for both objects then both will fall parallely(at same time) because time taken by both objects is independent of mass. there is famous experiment i.e"feather coin experiment" . normally we think that heaver objects falls faster but this is wrong concept. it depends on medium in which objects are moving.
