Answer:

The chemical change in matter is results in a change in its identity and properties.

Explanation:

There are toe type of changes physical change and chemical change.

The chemical change change in matter lead to lost its identity and properties.

Chemical change:

The changes, that occur due to change in the composition of a substance and result in a different compound is known as chemical change.

These changes are irreversible

These changes occur due to chemical reactions

These may not be observed with naked eye

Example:

Combustion of fuel or wood: that oil or wood convert into energy, CO2 and ash in case of wood

Boiling of egg: that change the chemical composition of protein in the egg .

The reaction of Hydrogen and oxygen:

H 2 (g)  + O 2  (g) -------------------------------------> 2H 2O  (l)

What was life like in the United States during the 1930s?
liberstina [14]

The 1930s saw natural disasters as well as manmade ones: For most of the decade, people in the Plains states suffered through the worst drought in American history, as well as hundreds of severe dust storms, or "black blizzards," that carried away the soil and made it all but impossible to plant crops.

t 745 K, the reaction below has an equilibrium constant (Kc) of 5.00 × 102. H2 (g) + I2 (g) ⇌ 2 HI (g) If a mixture of 0.10 mol
spayn [35]

Answer : The concentration of HI (g) at equilibrium is, 0.643 M

Explanation :

The given chemical reaction is:

                        H_2(g)+I_2(g)\rightarrow 2HI(g)

Initial conc.    0.10        0.10      0.50

At eqm.        (0.10-x)  (0.10-x)   (0.50+2x)

As we are given:

K_c=5.00\times 10^2

The expression for equilibrium constant is:

K_c=\frac{[HI]^2}{[H_2][I_2]}

Now put all the given values in this expression, we get:

5.00\times 10^2=\frac{(0.50+2x)^2}{(0.10-x)\times (0.10-x)}

x = 0.0713  and x = 0.134

We are neglecting value of x = 0.134 because the equilibrium concentration can not be more than initial concentration.

Thus, we are taking value of x = 0.0713

The concentration of HI (g) at equilibrium = (0.50+2x) = [0.50+2(0.0713)] = 0.643 M

Thus, the concentration of HI (g) at equilibrium is, 0.643 M

Answer: C) Either benzene or oxygen may limit the amount of product that can be formed

Explanation: Benzene and oxygen are the reactants of the equation. What type and the amount of reactants there are in a chemical reaction affects the outcome. Therefore, seeing as benzene and oxygen are the reactants, the answer is C).
