Answer:

Talking with a counselor.

Explanation:

Depression is a serious and debilitating disease. The person suffering from depression does not have the strength to continue with their daily activities such as working, eating and even bathing, for example. In the case of adolescents with depression, the most neglected activity is school. These teens may have frequent absences or skipped classes coupled with intense sadness and uncontrollable discouragement.

In this case, the best thing for a teenager to do is to seek guidance from a professional who can advise them on what to do to remedy their depressive condition. The best professional to do this is the counselor.

Although it is a normal teen behavior to have ups and downs and mood swings but if they are showing signs of more deeper issues I would first suggest they should be seen by the school counselor or talk to a trusted teacher/school staff member if you feel the issues are minor.

Eva8 [605]

Whether a particular exposure to a disease is related to a given outcome should involve formulating a hypothesis. The statement is true.

<h3>What is hypothesis?</h3>

A hypothesis is the first step of investigation in any field of research  formulated to predict  relationship between two or more variables based on evidence.

The major components includes population, variables and their relation.

The sources of hypothesis are similarity between the phenomenon, evidence from past studies, scientific theories etc.

In the field of epidemiology, researchers measure the relationship between the exposure towards disease and their outcome, define their hypothesis by asking research question and making a experimental design to solve their question.

Hence the statement is correct.

15. Explain how the ICD-10-CM code and CPT code work together to provide the necessary information about the patient’s visit to
Debora [2.8K]

Answer:

ICD-10-CM (Clinical Modification)  are codes used to describe the primary diagnosis of a patient

CPT codes are the billing codes used for getting payment from insurance companies

Explanation:

ICD is the international standard for reporting diseases and health conditions including monitoring of disease. ICD-10 is the the 10th edition.

As explained above, ICD-10 codes describe the main/primary diagnosis this is followed by the CPT/billing code which describes how insurance companies should pay for said primary condition - making them dependent.

Modifiers are then used to give more information about the ICD-10 codes or adjust care descriptions, they provide extra details concerning a procedure or service provided by a doctor. They also help further describe a procedure code without changing its definition
