Answer:

Total resistance is 19.6 Ω for the circuit .

Explanation:

Given:

Six resistors of a circuit namely R_1 to R_6 .

Where

R_1 and R_2 are in series.

R_3 and R_4 are in parallel.

R_5 and R_6 are in parallel.

We know that continuous resistor which are in series are added up to find the equivalent resistance.

Similarly resistors which are arranged in parallel their equivalent resistance is \frac{R_3R_5}{R_3+R_5}  for the case of R_3 and R_5.

According to the question:

Total resistance = R(equivalent) :

⇒ R_(eq_) = R_1+R_2+(\frac{R_3R_4}{R_3+R_4} )+(\frac{R_5R_6}{R_5+R_6} )

⇒ R_(eq_)=7+8+(\frac{4\times 6}{4+6} )+(\frac{3\times 8}{3+8} )

⇒ R_(eq_)=7+8+(\frac{24}{10} )+(\frac{24}{11} )

⇒ R_(eq_)=15+(2.4 )+(2.18)

⇒  R_(eq_)=19.58 Ω

So the total resistance of the circuit depicted is 19.58 Ω approximated to nearest tenth that is 19.6 Ω

Please Help!!! An engine takes 3,000 J from a hot reservoir and expels 2,400 J to a cold reservoir. What is the thermal efficien
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

80%

Explanation:

Thermal efficiency is a measure of the extent to which a heat engine is able to convert to other form. It is measure in percentage.

Thermal efficiency = \frac{E_{out} }{E_{in} } × 100%

Where E_{in} is the input energy and E_{out} is the output energy.

Given that: E_{in} = 2400 J and  E_{out} = 3000 J, therefore:

Thermal efficiency = \frac{2400}{3000} × 100%

                               = 80%

The thermal efficiency of the engine is 80%.

What is a centripetal acceleration of a point on a bicycle wheel of a radius of 0.70 m when a bike is moving 8.0 m/s
Furkat [3]

Answer:

The acceleration of a point on the wheel is 11.43 m/s² acting radially inward.

Explanation:

The centripetal acceleration acts on a body when it is performing a circular motion.

Here, a point on the bicycle is performing circular motion as the rotation of the wheel produces a circular motion.

The centripetal acceleration of a point moving with a velocity v and at a distance of r from the axis of rotation is given as:

a=\frac{v^2}{r}

Here, v=8\ m/s,r=0.70\ m

∴ a=\frac{8}{0.70}=11.43\ m/s^2

Therefore, the acceleration of a point on the wheel is 11.43 m/s² acting radially inward.
