Answer:

FKJ = 0    (It does not work).

Explanation:

The truss has an overall height of 4 meters and an overall length of 12 meters (there are 8 members along the bottom which each are 1.5 meters long). If the member is in compression, use a negative sign in the answer to indicate compression. Work in units of kN for forces but do not enter units. Determine the force in member KJ.

Ax = 0    ⇒   Ix = 0

∑ MA = 0   (counterclockwise +)   ⇒   - 10*3 – 6*9 – 6*10.5 + Iy*12 = 0

⇒  Iy = 12.25 N  (↑)

∑ Fy = 0   (↑)

Ay – 10 – 6 - 6 + Iy = 0      ⇒    Ay = 10 + 6 + 6 - 12.25      ⇒    Ay = 9.75 N (↑)

∑ M<em>K</em> = 0   (counterclockwise +)   ⇒  - FHI*4 + Iy*3 = 0

⇒  FHI = (Iy*3) / 4 = (12.25*3) / 4

⇒  FHI = + 9.1875 N

Node I:

∑ Fx = 0   (→)

FRI*Cos (θ) - FHI = 0     ⇒   FRI = FHI / Cos (θ) = 9.1875 / (3/5) = 15.3125 N

⇒   FRI = - 15.3125 N

Now, for the section in the figure 2 shown we have

∑ Fx = 0   (→)

⇒   FKJ + FRI*Cos (θ) - FHI = 0

⇒    FKJ = FHI - FRI*Cos (θ) = 9.1875 - 15.3125*(3/5)

⇒   FKJ = 0    (It does not work).

A 86 kg human stands on the surface of Venus. The mass of Venus is 4.9 × 1024 kg and its radius is 6.1 × 106 m. Collapse questio
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

755.37 N

Explanation:

We are given that

Mass of venus=m_1=4.9\times 10^{24}kg

Radius=r=6.1\times 10^6m

Mass of human=m_2=86 kg

We know that the gravitational force between two bodies

F=G\frac{m_1m_2}{r^2}

Where G=Gravitational constant=6.67\times 10^{-11}Nm^2/kg^2

Using the formula

The magnitude of the gravitational force exerted by Venus on the human=F=\frac{6.67\times 10^{-11}\times 86\times 4.9\times 10^{24}}{(6.1\times 10^6)^2}

The magnitude of the gravitational force exerted by Venus on the human=F=755.37N

Please can some one explaine fore me What is work done
olga nikolaevna [1]
In Physics, 'work' has a very clear definition:

It's (strength of a force) times (distance through which the force acts).

'Work' has the units of Energy.

If you push against a shopping cart with 30 newtons of force, and
you keep pushing while the cart moves 4 meters, then you have
done (30 x 4) = 120 newton-meters of work = 120 "Joules".
