In Physics, 'work' has a very clear definition:

It's (strength of a force) times (distance through which the force acts).

'Work' has the units of Energy.

If you push against a shopping cart with 30 newtons of force, and
you keep pushing while the cart moves 4 meters, then you have
done (30 x 4) = 120 newton-meters of work = 120 "Joules".

IDENTIFY and DESCRIBE the six climate regions.
Bad White [126]

Answer:

6 climate regions are Mediterranean, Polar, Tropical, Temperate, Arid and Tundra.

Explanation:

There are six main climate regions in the world. These regions distinguished from one another on the basis of climate that exists there. Above mentioned climates are described shortly as follows:

Mediterranean: This region is the region surrounding the Mediterranean sea, Southern California and Southern America. The climate in this region is hot and dry in summer whereas mild winters are there in this region.

Polar: This region is on the South Pole, near the side of Greenland. The climate in this region is very cold and chilled.

Tropical: This region consists of jungles of South America, Africa, some parts of Asia and the islands of Pacific. The climate of this region is Hot. Due to heavy rainfalls in this area, the area is also wet.

Temperate: North America, Europe and Northern Asia is included in this region. The climate is mild hot in summers and cold in winters.

Arid: This region consists of deserts of Africa, Asia, US and Australia. The climate is very hot throughout the year.

Tundra: This region consists of the mountain tops of America, Asia and Greenland. The climate is extremely cold in such regions throughout the year.

A bullet with a mass of 0.1 kg is travelling at
mel-nik [20]

The block with the bullet lodged in the block is now travelling at 2.133 m/s.

What is momentum conservation principle?

When there is no external force acting on the system, the momentum remains conserved.

For inelastic collision, after collision both objects travel with common speed.

m1u1 + m2u2 =(m1 +m2)v

Substitute initial velocity of bullet u1 =320 m/s , initial velocity of block u2 =0, mass of bullet m1 = 0.1 kg and mass of block m2 = 14.9 kg.

Solve for the final velocity of bullet,

0.1 x 320 + 14.9 x 0 = (0.1 +14.9) x v

v = 2.133 m/s

Thus, the block with the bullet lodged in block now travelling at 2.133 m/s.

What is the relation between motion and force
ipn [44]

Answer:

For instance, an object is moving and we can say that a force is acting or must have been acted upon to cause the state of motion. When force is applied, it changes the position of the object concerning time resulting in motion. The motion, in other words, is described as a change in speed or change in direction.
