Chemistry

Answer:
Dissociation

Explanation:
The molecule of water is polar. This means that the hydrogen has a partial positive charge while the oxygen has a partial negative charge.
Ionic compounds have equal number of positive and negative charges.
When these compounds are placed in water, the partial positive hydrogen starts to attract the negative ion of the ionic compound while the partial negative oxygen starts to attract the positive ion of the ionic compound.

This process is called dissociation and leads to the breaking of ionic compound into cations and anions in water.

Hope this helps :)

Calculation of ph from hydrogen ion concentration what is the ph of a solution that has an h1 concentration of (a) 1.75 3 1025 m
faltersainse [42]

Solutions:

Case a: Finding pH for [H⁺] = 1.75 × 10⁻⁵ mol/L :

As we know pH is given as,

                                  pH  = -log [H⁺]

Putting value,

                                  pH  = -log [1.75 x 10⁻⁵]

                                 pH =  4.75

Case b: Finding pH for [H⁺] = 6.50 × 10⁻¹⁰ mol/L :

As we know pH is given as,

                                  pH  = -log [H⁺]

Putting value,

                                  pH  = -log [6.50 × 10⁻¹⁰]

                                 pH =  9.18

Case c: Finding pH for [H⁺] = 1.0 × 10⁻⁴ mol/L :

As we know pH is given as,

                                  pH  = -log [H⁺]

Putting value,

                                  pH  = -log [1.0 × 10⁻⁴]

                                 pH =  4

Case d: Finding pH for [H⁺] = 1.50 × 10⁻⁵ mol/L :

As we know pH is given as,

                                  pH  = -log [H⁺]

Putting value,

                                  pH  = -log [1.50 × 10⁻⁵]

                                 pH =  4.82

Fe(NO3)2 not sure how to get the oxidation numbers of all elements
SOVA2 [1]
Fe(NO3)2=0
Fe+2(+3+3*-2)=0
Fe+2*-3=0
Fe=-(-6)
Fe=+6

What information does the rate constant give from the rate law? A. It tells how much the rate of the reaction is affected by vol
Levart [38]

From the rate law, the information that is given by the rate constant is: C. It tells how much the reaction rate is affected by activation energy.

What is the rate law?

Rate law is also referred to as rate equation and it can be defined as a chemical equation that is typically used to relate the initial (forward) chemical reaction rate with respect to the concentrations or pressures of the chemical reactants and constant parameters.

Mathematically, the rate law is given by this formula:

R = k[A]^x[B]^y

Where:

  • k is the rate constant.
  • A is the concentration of reactant A.
  • B is the concentration of reactant B.

In Chemistry, the rate constant is typically used to tell the reaction rate or rate of a chemical reaction that is affected by activation energy.
