Here's the rule you need to know
in order to answer this question:

                     1 full circle ==> 360 degrees .

Got that ?

Now you could set up a proportion:

     (30 degrees) / (0.01 second)  =  (360 degrees) / (time for full period)

Cross-multiply the proportion:

     (30°) · (period)  =  (360°) · (0.01 sec)

Divide each side by (30°) :    Period = (360° · 0.01 sec) / (30°)

                                                     =  (3.6° · sec) / (30°)

                                                     =  (3.6 / 30)  sec

                                                     =      0.12  sec .
___________________________________

Another way to look at it:

30°        takes    0.01 second
60°        takes    0.02 second
90°        takes    0.03 second
120°      takes    0.04 second
150°      takes    0.05 second
180°      takes    0.06 second
210°      takes    0.07 second
240°      takes    0.08 second
270°      takes    0.09 second
300°      takes    0.10 second
330°      takes    0.11 second
360°      takes   0.12 second

the average power of the Sun is 3.79x1026 Watts, answer the following questions: 13. What is the average intensity of light at E
Lemur [1.5K]

Explanation:

Given that,

Average power of sun P=3.79\times10^{26}\ Watt

We need to calculate the intensity of light at Earth's position

Using formula of intensity

I=\dfrac{P_{avg}}{4\pi r^2}

Where, I = intensity

P = power

Put the value into the formula

I=\dfrac{3.79\times10^{26}}{4\pi\times(1.496\times10^{11})^2}

I=1347.616\ W/m^2

So, The intensity is 1347.616 W/m².

(A). We need to calculate the pressure on a solar sail due to the light of the sun if it's fully reflective

Using formula for fully reflective

P = \dfrac{2I}{c}

Put the value into the formula

P=\dfrac{2\times1347.616}{3\times10^{8}}

P=8.984\times10^{-6}\ N/m

(B).  We need to calculate the pressure on a solar sail due to the light of the sun if it's fully reflective

Using formula for fully absorptive

P=\dfrac{I}{c}

P=\dfrac{1347.616}{3\times10^{8}}

P=4.492\times10^{-6}\ N/m

Hence, This is the required solution.

A 4.00-kg particle moves along the x axis. Its position varies with time according to x 5 t 1 2.0t 3, where x is in meters and t
White raven [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given equation is ,

x =t + 2 t³ ,

dx/dt = velocity ( v ) = 1 + 6 t²

a) kinetic energy = 1/2 m v² = .5 x 4 ( 1 + 6 t² )² = 2 ( 1 + 6 t²)²

b ) Acceleration = dv /dt = 12 t .

force( F ) = mass x acceleration = 4 x 12 t = 48 t

Power = force x velocity = 48 t x ( 1 + 6 t²). = 48 t + 288 t³ )

work done = ∫ F dx =∫ 48 t x( 1 + 6t² )dt ; =  [48t²/2 + 48 x 6 x t³ /3 = 24 t² + 96 t³ )]₀² =  864 J
