Answer: 1.7 moles

Explanation:

Given that:

Volume of water V = 1.5L

(since 1 liter = 1dm3

1.5L = 1.5dm3)

Temperature T = 100°C

Convert Celsius to Kelvin

(100°C + 273 = 373K)

Pressure P = 3.5 atm

Number of moles of steam N = ?

Note that Molar gas constant R is a constant with a value of 0.0082 ATM dm3 K-1 mol-1

Then, apply ideal gas equation

pV = nRT

3.5atm x 1.5dm3 = n x (0.0082 ATM dm3 K-1 mol-1 x 373K)

5.25 = n x 3.06

n = 5.25/3.06

n = 1.7 moles

Thus, 1.7 moles of steam is present

ozzi

Answer:

They went from atoms to oxygen molecule.

Explanation:

I'm not sure if this is the answer your teacher is looking for, but in simple terms you had 2 oxygen atoms. Together they make an oxygen molecule, which is the stuff we breathe.

A stock solution has a concentration of 1.5 M NaCl and is diluted to a 0.80 M solution with a volume of 0.10 L. What volume of t
ioda

Answer:

0.053 L  is the volume of concentrated solution that was used

Explanation:

Let's determine the answer of this, by rules of three.

There is also a dilution formula.

Molarity is a sort of concentration that indicates the moles of solute in 1L of solution.

In 1 L of concentrated solution, there are 1.5 moles of NaCl

In 1 L of diluted solution, there are 0.80 moles.

The volume for the diluted solution is 0.10L

The rule of three will be:

1L of solution has 0.80 moles of solute

Then, 0.10L of solution must have (0.1 . 0.8)/1 = 0.08 moles

This moles came from the concentrated solution, and we know that in 1L of this solution we have 1.5 moles. Therefore the rule of three will be:

1.5 moles are in 1L of solution

0.08 moles were in (0.08 . 1L / 1.5) = 0.053 L (This is the volume of concentrated solution that was used)

Dilution formula is: M conc . Vol conc = M diluted . Vol diluted

1.5 M . Vol conc = 0.80 M . 0.10L

Vol conc = 0.80 M . 0.10L / 1.5M = 0.053L

Explain specifically how an electron gives off light in an atom.
exis [7]

Answer:

Then, at some point, these higher energy electrons give up their "extra" energy in the form of a photon of light, and fall back down to their original energy level.

Explanation:

When properly stimulated, electrons in these materials move from a lower level of energy up to a higher level of energy and occupy a different orbital.
