The maximum efficiency possible in an energy conversion process that is not limited by the second law of thermodynamics
Anna [14]

Answer:

100 %

Explanation:

The maximun efficiency possible (whem not limited by the  second law of thermodynamics) happens when all the energy used is transformed into the type of energy we required with no other transformations.

For example, in an engine we want that all the energy we supply is being converted to work. That's the ideal case, but in reality always some of that energy is lost in the form of heat.

How many grams of sucrose (c12h22o11) are in 1.55 l of 0.758 m sucrose solution? express your answer in grams to three significa
satela [25.4K]
The molecular formula of sucrose is - C₁₂H₂₂O₁₁
molecular mass of sucrose - 342 g/mol
molarity of sucrose solution is 0.758 M
In 1 L solution the number of sucrose moles are - 0.758 mol
Therefore in 1.55 L solution, sucrose moles are - 0.758 mol/L x 1.55 L
                                                                           = 1.17 mol
The mass of 1.17 mol of sucrose is - 1.17 mol x 342 g/mol = 4.00 x 10² g

Snowcat [4.5K]

Answer:

Covalent Bonds

Explanation:

INTERmolecular forces are those that exist between molecules, so you can think of it liek international things taking place between countries. As you are aware, dipoles exist across an entire molecule, so for 2 dipoles to interact, there needs to be 2 molecules. Van der Waals forces also take place between  molecules when there is an uneven distribution of electrons across a molecule, causing a temporary weak dipole. Hydrogen bonding is similar to dipole-dipole forces, but only happen when there is a hydrogen interacting with an atom on another molecule that has a lone pair of electrons.

Covalent bonds, however, are INTRAmolecular, meaning they are present within a molecule. Covalent bonds are the bonds that exist when two atoms, within the same molecule, share electrons so both can have a stable electron configuration.

Hope I helped! xx
