Which is denser, a solid solution, a gaseous solution,or a liquid solution

Chemistry

Answer:

Gaseous solution isn't dense, neither the solid, but liquid is denser

Explanation:

Gas: only gases are dissolved under a given set of conditions.Since interactions between molecules play almost no role, dilute gases form rather trivial solutions. In part of the literature, they are not even classified as solutions, but addressed as mixtures.

Liquid: If the solvent is a liquid, then almost all gases, liquids, and solids can be dissolved.

Solid: Solid solution is less denser than liquid.

How do you explain the relatively high conductivity of tap water compared to a low or zero conductivity for distilled water?
gladu [14]
Tap water contains many dissolved ions that are required to carry an electric current, whilst distilled water contains no or relatively low amounts of dissolved ions. the absence of ions in the distilled water accounts for the low to zero conductivity of the water

hope that helps!

60 kg of fuel was completely burnt for an experiment. The amount of heat energy was found to be 180000KJ. Calculate calorific va
FrozenT [24]

Answer:

3000 kJ/kg

Explanation:

The calorific value of a substance is the amount of heat produced per unit mass by the combustion of the substance.

It is given by:

C=\frac{Q}{m}

where

Q is the amount of heat released

m is the mass of the fuel

In this problem, we have:

m = 60 kg is the mass of fuel

Q=180,000 kJ is the amount of heat released

Therefore, the calorific value of the fuel is:

C=\frac{180,000}{60}=3000 kJ/kg
