Answer: 1.2 millimoles will be left after 2250 years

Explanation:

Expression for rate law for first order kinetics is given by:

t=\frac{2.303}{k}\log\frac{a}{a-x}

where,

k = rate constant

t = age of sample

a = let initial amount of the reactant

a - x = amount left after decay process

a) for completion of half life:

Half life is the amount of time taken by a radioactive material to decay to half of its original value.

t_{\frac{1}{2}}=\frac{0.693}{k}

k=\frac{0.693}{5730}=0.00012years^{-1}

b) Amount left after 2250 years

2250=\frac{2.303}{k}\log\frac{1.6}{a-x}

2250=\frac{2.303}{0.00012}\log\frac{1.6}{a-x}

\log\frac{1.6}{a-x}=0.117

\frac{1.6}{a-x}=1.31

{a-x}=\frac{1.6}{1.31}=1.2

Thus 1.2 millimoles will be left after 2250 years

Calculate the molality of a solution prepared by dissolving 25.0 g of sodium chloride (NaCl) in 625 g of water
umka2103 [35]

Answer: m= 0.69 m or mol/kg

Explanation: Molality is expressed as moles per unit kilograms of solvent or m= n / kg

First convert 25.0 g NaCl to moles

25.0 g NaCl x 1 mole NaCl / 58 g NaCl

= 0.43 moles NaCl

Next convert 625 g H2O to kilograms

625 g H2O x 1 kg / 1000 g H2O

= 0.625 kg H2O

Substitute the values in the formula

m = n / kg

   = 0.43 mole NaCl / 0.625 kg

   = 0.69 m or mole / kg

Korvikt [17]

<span>The correct answer among the choices given is the last option. Galaxies are classified according to their shapes or visual morphology. There three main types of galaxies currently. They are the elliptical, spiral and irregular. Elliptical galaxies are like a spheroid or an elongated sphere. Spiral galaxies are characterized and distinguished by having a bulge, a disk and a halo. Lastly, irregular galaxies do not have regular or symmetrical shape.</span>

An electron charge e mass m and a positron charge e mass m revolve around their common center of mass under the influence of the
Katen [24]

Answer: v = 2π2 Kme2 Z / nh

Explanation:

The formula for velocity of an electron in the nth orbit is given as,

v = 2π2 Kme2 Z / nh

v = velocity

K = 1/(4πε0)

m= mass of an electron

e = Charge on an electron

Z= atomic number

h= Planck’s constant

n is a positive integer.
