Answer:

Explanation:

Kinetic energy of molecules in a substance is the energy the molecules possess when it's moving. An increase in temperature generally increases the movement of molecules (hence has an increased kinetic energy) while a decrease in temperature reduces the movement of molecules in a substance (hence has a decreased kinetic energy.

A hot cup of coffee has a high temperature and as such it's molecules move fast hence the molecules of the coffee have a higher kinetic energy compared to a cold Ice cream whose molecules move slowly due to low temperature (hence the kinetic energy is low).

Answer:

The answer to your question is below

Explanation:

Kinetic energy is the energy that a body or molecule has due to movement or velocity.

Temperature increases the movement of molecules so in a hot cup of coffee, molecules have a high kinetic energy.

In an ice cream, due to temperature, molecules do not move as fast as in a hot cup of coffee so the kinetic energy will be lower in this substance.

Ree is 27 inches tall on her first birthday. She grows around 6 inches per year after that. What is the rate of change for the s
RSB [31]

Answer:

6

Explanation:

The rate of change in this scenario corresponds to the number of inches that Ree grows every year. Basically, Ree's height can be written as a linear equation as follows:

y=mx+q

where

x is the number of years after the first birthday

y is the height in inches

q = 27 is the height of Ree on her first birthday

m = 6 is the inches gained by Ree at each birthday

So the equation can also be rewritten as

y = 6x + 27

An electron emitted from a filament is travelling at 1.5 x 105 m/s when it enters an acceleration of an electron gun in a televi
Crank

Answer:

The acceleration of the electron is 1.457 x 10¹⁵ m/s².

Explanation:

Given;

initial velocity of the emitted electron, u = 1.5 x 10⁵ m/s

distance traveled by the electron, d = 0.01 m

final velocity of the electron, v = 5.4 x 10⁶ m/s

The acceleration of the electron is calculated as;

v² = u² + 2ad

(5.4 x 10⁶)² = (1.5 x 10⁵)² + (2 x 0.01)a

(2 x 0.01)a = (5.4 x 10⁶)² - (1.5 x 10⁵)²

(2 x 0.01)a = 2.91375 x 10¹³

a = \frac{2.91375 \ \times \ 10^{13}}{2 \ \times \ 0.01} \\\\a = 1.457 \ \times \ 10^{15} \ m/s^2

Therefore, the acceleration of the electron is 1.457 x 10¹⁵ m/s².

Amy uses 20N of force to push a lawn mower 10 meters. How much work does she do? *
babunello [35]

She does 200J .

We know she uses 20N of force and 10m is the distance. We multiply both numbers and we are given our answer of 200J. Hope this was helpful. :)
