You are planning to go for a hike on a hot day , so you put your bottle of water in the freezer. When you take it out, you see t

hat the bottle has expanded . Explain why this happened . Your explanation should include the hydrogen bonding of water and how it affects the density of the water.

Answer:

When water freezes, water molecules form a crystalline structure maintained by hydrogen bonding. Solid water, or ice, is less dense than liquid water. Ice is less dense than water because the orientation of hydrogen bonds causes molecules to push farther apart, which lowers the density.

Answer:

When the water freezes the density of water molecules and hydrogen bonds expanded b/w the molecules and the freezes water molecules shaped into six-cubic structure which is compact shaped structure

Explanation:

when the water molecules freezes the density increases and molecules expands due to which space creates b/w hydrogen bonds of the  molecules . the density of the freezes molecules of water becomes 3.98 centigrade and

Describe the process of inhalation and exhalation with regard to the contraction of the diaphragm – which is an active process a
Lerok [7]
Inhalation is the process of taking air into the lungs. For this to occur, the air pressure inside the lungs must be lower than that of the external atmosphere as air flows from areas of higher pressure to lower pressure. <span>Exhalation is the process of expelling air out of the lungs. What is the theoretical yield of so3 produced by the quantities described in part a? express your answer numerically in grams?
PSYCHO15rus [73]
Sulfur reacts with oxygen to yield SO3 as shown in the equation below;
 2S(g)+ 3O2(g) = 2SO3(g)
From part A 7.49 g of S were used.
The atomic mass of sulfur is 32.06 g/mol
Hence, the number of moles of sulfur used
 7.49 / 32.06 = 0.2336 moles
The mole ratio of S : SO3 is 1:1
Thus the mass of SO3 will be ( 1 mol of SO3= 80.06 g)
0.2336 moles × 80.06 = 18.7 g

I’m having hard time to understand can someone answer it and explain it
tekilochka [14]

Number #2 is joule

In the SI system the unit of heat is the joule. The calorie was defined so that the heat capacity of water was equal to one.The heat capacity of a substance is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of a defined amount of pure substances by one degree.

Number #3 is Endothermic

Why? I can't explain. I Just left class where they were just explaining that.

Si una masa dada de hidrógeno ocupa 40 litros a 700 grados torr. ¿Qué volumen ocupará a 1 atmósfera de presión? (dar la presión
Svetach [21]

Answer:

V_2=36.84L

Explanation:

Hola,

En este caso, podemos usar la ley de Boyle, la cual nos permite analizar el comportamiento volumen-presión en un gas ideal de manera inversamente propocional:

P_1V_1=P_2V_2

Así, dado el volumen y la presión inicial, la cual se convierte a atmósferas (760 torr = 1atm), calculamos el volumen final a 1 atm como se muestra a continuación:

V_2=\frac{P_1V_1}{P_2}=\frac{700torr*\frac{1atm}{760torr}*40l }{1atm}\\  \\V_2=36.84L

Saludos!
