Answer:

The minimum required thickness for a steel pressure vessel (t) is 2.275 mm

Explanation:

Minimum required thickness is the thickness of a material without corrosion allowance for each component  based on the appropriate design that consider pressure, mechanical and structural loading.

Given that:

radius (r) = 65 mm = 65 × 10⁻³ m

Factor of safety (N) = 3.5

Inside presssure (P_{in}) = 11 MPa

Outside pressure (P_{out}) = 1 MPa

Yield strength (\sigma_y) = 1000 MPa

Therefore:

\sigma_y =\frac{\sigma_y}{N}, Substituting values,

\sigma_y =\frac{\sigma_y}{N}=\frac{1000}{3.5}=285.714 MPa

The minimum required thickness for a steel pressure vessel (t) is given by the equation:

t=\frac{r.(P_{in}-P_{out})}{\sigma_y}. Substituting values

t=\frac{r.(P_{in}-P_{out})}{\sigma_y}=\frac{65*10^{-3} *(11-1)10^{6} }{285.714*10^{6} } =2.275*10^{-3} =2.275 mm

The minimum required thickness for a steel pressure vessel (t) is 2.275 mm

Answer:

k = 0.1118 per min

Explanation:

Assume;

Initial number of bacteria = N0

Number of bacteria IN 'T' time = Nt

So,

Nt=N0e^{-kt}\\\\in\ 6.2 min\\\\\\frac{N0}{2}= N0e^{-k(6.2)}\\\\ln\frac{1}{2} = -k[6.2]

k = 0.1118 per min

A technique for resolving complex repetitive waveforms into sine or cosine waves and a DC component is known as:
tatiyna

Answer:

(A) Fourier Analysis

Explanation:

Fourier Analysis

It is the form of study of the way a general functions can be represented via the sum of the simple trigonometric functions .

It is named after Joseph Fourier , who represented a function as a sum of its trigonometric functions and it simplifies the study of the heat transfer .

Hence ,

The technique for resolving the complex repetitive waveforms into the sine or the cosine waves and the DC component is known as the Fourier Analysis .

Copper is generally considered easy to weld because of its high thermal conductivity: (a) true or (b) false?
inn [45]

Answer:

b)False

Explanation:

Those material have high thermal it is very difficult to weld because due to high thermal conductivity it transmit the heat in to the surrounding and can not reach a particular temperature required to melt the material.And when material does not melt then there is no possibility to weld the material.

So from above we can say that it is very difficult to weld the copper material due to high thermal conductivity.Generally welding of copper done by usiong gas welding technique.

So our option b is right.
