If there is no net force acting on an object moving at a constant speed of 30 mph, then the object will continue to move at 30 mph.

Answer: Option A

<u>Explanation: </u>

As per Newton’s first laws of motion, an object will continue to stay in its state of motion or rest until an external unbalanced forces act on the object. So, it states that a moving objects will keep on moving unless and until a resisting forces act on it. Thus the required resisting force to stop object moving is termed as frictional force.

Similarly, if an object is at rest then it will stay at rest unless an external unbalanced forces are applied on the object and that force should be greater than the inertial force of the object. Thus, in the present case, an object moving with constant velocity at 30 mph will continue to move at 30 mph in the absence of net unbalanced force acting on the object.

If a sinusoidal electromagnetic wave with intensity 18 W/m2 has an electric field of amplitude E, then a 36 W/m2 wave of the sam
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

The  correct option is D

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

  The intensity of the first  electromagnetic wave is  I = 18 \ W/m^2

  The amplitude of the electric field is  E_{max}_1 =A

   The intensity of the second electromagnetic wave is  I = 36 \ W/m^2

Generally the an electromagnetic wave intensity is mathematically represented as

       I  =  \frac{1}{2} *  \epsilon_o  * c  * E_{max}^2

Looking at this equation we see that

     I \ \ \alpha  \ \ E^2_{max}

=>  \frac{I_1}{I_2}  =  [ \frac{ E_{max}_1}{ E_{max}_2} ] ^2

=>   E_{max}_2 = \sqrt{\frac{x}{y} }  *  E_{max}_1

=>  E_{max}_2 = \sqrt{\frac{36}{18} }  * E

=>  E_{max}_2 = \sqrt{2 }  E

MakcuM [25]

Answer:

210

Explanation:

A ball rolls horizontally off the cliff at a speed of 30 m/s. It takes 7 seconds for the ball to hit the ground. What is the height of the cliff and the horizontal distance traveled by the ball?

S = (1/2)*9.8 m/s^2 * 7^2 = 240.1 m if the ball is very dense so air resistance, and therefore terminal velocity, can be ignored.

S = v * t = 30 m/s * 7 s = 210 m for the horizontal distance, again assuming negligible air resistance.
