A container has a large cylindrical lower part with a long thin cylindrical neck open at the top. The lower part of the containe

r holds 20.0 m3 of water and the surface area of the bottom of the container is 8.00 m2. The height of the lower part of the container is 2.50 m, and the neck contains a column of water 8.50 m high. The total volume of the column of water in the neck is 0.200 m3. What is the magnitude of the force exerted by the water on the bottom of the container?

Answer:

8.6*10^5N

Explanation:

Pressure of the water = density of water * height of the water * acceleration due to gravity

Pressure of water = 1000*9.81*(2.5 + 8.50)

Pressure of the water = 107910 = 1.08*10^5

And Pressure = force / A

Force = Pressure * A(surface area of the container)

Force = 1.08*10^5 * 8 = 863280 = 8.6*10^5N

Name a statistical quantity that can be used to indicate an accuracy level.
Fofino [41]

Answer:

100%

Explanation:

The accuracy level can be measured by the percent of error which is defined as the average accepted 100%.

Accuracy is related to the proximity of the measurement. It is called the true value of the accuracy where as the precision is referred to the ability at the same time to be reproduced in measurement .

The instrument should be proper and produce the reliable and accurate measurement tools.

Thus here the statistical quantity that is used by the to indicate the accuracy level is purely 100%.

A car travels on a long, straight highway at a constant speed of 30 m/s when it passes a stationary police motorcycle. As the ca
Kruka [31]

Answer:

180 m

Explanation:

Given:

Uniform speed of the car, U = 30 m/s

Uniform acceleration of the motorcycle = 10 m/s²

For the motorcycle to catch up with the car, the distance traveled must be the same.

For the car;

Distance = Speed × Time

        ⇒ d = u × t

             d = 30 × t

             d = 30t               ......(1)

For the motorcycle;

The stationary police motorcycle has initial speed, u = 0

From equation of motion;

             d = ut + \frac{1}{2}at^{2}

but u = 0

             d = \frac{1}{2}at^{2}

             d = \frac{1}{2}10t^{2}

             d = 5t^{2}               .....(2)

Equating equation (1) and (2)

            30t = 5t²

            \frac{t^{2}}{t} = \frac{30}{5}

            t = 6 seconds

Substituting t = 6 s into equation (2)

            d = 5(6)²

            d = 5 × 36

            d = 180 m

The motorcycle must travel 180 m before it catches up to the car

What is the minimum angular velocity (in rpm) for swinging a bucket of water in a vertical circle without spilling any? The dist
Crazy boy [7]

Complete Question

What is the minimum angular velocity (in rpm) for swinging a bucket of water in a vertical circle without spilling any? The distance from the handle to the bottom of the bucket is 35 cm. The student has 70-cm-long arms

Answer:

The value is  w__{rpm} } = 29.17 \  rpm

Explanation:

From the question we are told

    The distance from the handle to the bottom of the bucket is  d = 35 \ cm = 0.35 \ m

      The length of the students arm is  L = 70 cm  = 0.70  m

   Generally the acceleration due to gravity experienced by the bucket of  water is mathematically represented as

       g  = w^2 * r

Here is is the radius of the circle which swinging of the bucket makes and this is mathematically represented as

       r =  L  + d

So

         g  =  w^2 *  ( L  + d )

= >     w = \sqrt{\frac{g }{ L + d } }

= >     w = \sqrt{\frac{ 9.8}{  0.7 + 0.35} }

= >     w =    3.055 \  rad/s

Generally the angular speed in revolution per minute is mathematically represented as

        w__{rpm} } = \frac{w * 60 }{2 \pi }

=>      w__{rpm} } = \frac{3.055 * 60 }{2 * 3.142  }

=>      w__{rpm} } = 29.17 \  rpm

In the chemical formula 2NO2 how many atoms ot oxygen are there
mina [271]
I think there are four total.
This comes from adding the 1 O from the NO to 2O from the O2. However the oxygen needs to be balanced.
Multiplying the left NO and the NO2 on the right side by 2 you get:
2NO + 2O -> 2NO2
 Left to Right:
2 x 1 N =2N -> 2 x 1 N = 2N

2x(One) Oxygen+ O2 (Two Oxygen) = Four Oxygen or 4O
