Answer: Mean Arterial Pressure is directly proportional to Cardiac Output and Systemic Vascular Resistance and also directly proportional to Central Venous Pressure.

Explanation: Based on the relationship of flow, pressure and resistance, the mean arterial pressure is determined by the cardiac output (CO), systemic vascular resistance (SVR), and central venous pressure (CVP). This relationship is given by:

MAP = (CO x SVR) + CVP

Which is alternatively expressed as:

MAP = CO x SVR (this is because at any point in time in blood circulation, the central venous pressure is always near to zero mmHg.

Due to this direct relationship, any factor affecting the cardiac output and the Systemic Vascular Resistance would cause a corresponding change in the Mean Arterial Pressure.

It is also worthy to note that If Cardiac Output and Systemic Vascular Resistance change reciprocally (inversely) and proportionately, then Mean Arterial Pressure will not change. The plotted graph is one of positive slope.

The whole relationship occurs when blood is pumped out of the left ventricle into the aorta and distributing arteries, creating pressure.

A golfer tees off and hits a golf ball at a speed of 31 m/s and at an angle of 35 degrees. How long was the ball in the air? Rou
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

3.6 seconds

Explanation:

Given:

y₀ = y = 0 m

v₀ = 31 sin 35° m/s

a = -9.8 m/s²

Find: t

y = y₀ + v₀ t + ½ at²

0 = 0 + (31 sin 35°) t + ½ (-9.8 m/s²) t²

0 = 17.78t − 4.9t²

0 = t (17.78 − 4.9t)

t = 0 or 3.63

Rounded to the nearest tenth, the ball lands after 3.6 seconds.

What affects the amount of electricity that can be generated through water power?
Andre45 [30]
Water is composed of hydrogen and oxygen molecules the hydrogen and oxygen ions in water can be separated by passing an electric current through the water, which in turn will give it a temporary negative charge.

If a car skids 66 ft on wet concrete, how fast was it moving when the brakes were applied? (Round your answer to the nearest who
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

If a car skids 66 ft on wet concrete, it will move at 243 ft/s when the brake is applied.

Explanation:

To determine how fast the car was moving, after skidding, the formula below is used:

V = √32*fd

V is the car's speed (ft/s)

d is skid length (ft) = 66 ft

f is the coefficient of friction determined by the material the car was skidding on.

Coefficient of friction for wet concrete is 0.65

V = √32*fd

V = √32 *0.65* 66

V = 242.679 ft/s ≅ 243 ft/s (nearest whole number)

If a car skids 66 ft on wet concrete, it will move at 243 ft/s when the brake is applied.

an object is thrown off a cliff with intial pward velocity of 15m/s it strikes the ground with downward velocity of 25 m/s what
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

20 m

Explanation:

Given:

v₀ = 15 m/s

v = -25 m/s

a = -10 m/s²

Find: Δy

v² = v₀² + 2aΔy

(-25 m/s)² = (15 m/s)² + 2 (-10 m/s²) Δy

Δy = 20 m
