B) Ice floats on top of liquid water and D) liquid is less dense than ice. The rest of the answers aren’t true because ice never sinks to the bottom of the water since ice is more dense than water.

Answer: A. Liquid water is denser than ice.

B. Ice floats on top of liquid water.

Explanation:

Water molecules are bonded by strong hydrogen bonding between the hydrogen atom and the electronegative oxygen atom.

The density of water is liquid state is more than the density of ice. Water has a property to expand when it freezes and it forms cage like structure in the ice. This results in the increase of volume and thus the density of ice is lesser than that of liquid water.

The substance with more density than water sinks in it and the substance with lesser density than water will float in water.

Thus ice being less dense than liquid water floats on top of it.

What is the frequency of an x- ray if the wavelength is 4.5 E - 10m?
AnnZ [28]
V (speed) = F (frequency) x Wavelength
If we rearrange the formula, making frequency the subject;
F (frequency) = Speed ÷ Wavelength
F = 300,000 m\s x 4.5 e -10m
F = 0.08810409956 Hz

tatuchka [14]

Answer:We are usually not aware of the electric force acting between two everyday objects because most everyday objects have as many plus charges as minus charges. Option A

Explanation:An electric force is exerted between any two charged objects( either positive or negative). Objects with the same charge will repel each other, and objects with opposite charge will attract each other. The strength of the electric force between any two charged objects depends on the amount of charge that each object contains and on the distance between the two charges. Electric charges are generated all around us due to different surfaces bearing different types of charges. We are usually not aware of it because the quantity of positive charges equals the number of negative charges.
