Answer:

the coefficient of static friction is larger than kinetic coefficients of friction

Explanation:

The coefficient of static friction is usually larger than the kinetic coefficients of friction because an object at rest has increasingly settled agreements with the surface it's resting on at the molecular level, so it takes more force to break these agreement.

Until this force is been overcome, kinetic coefficient of friction is not going to surface.

Note: coefficient of static friction is the friction between two bodies when the bodies aren't moving. Meanwhile, kinetic coefficient is the ratio of frictional force of a moving body to the normal reaction.

F_{s} ≤μ_{s}N(coefficient of static friction)

where F_{s} is the static friction, μ_{s} is the coefficient of static friction and N is the normal reaction

μ = \frac{F}{N}(kinetic coefficient of friction)

attached is diagram illustrating the explanation

anastassius [24]

From the geometry of the problem, the 20 m-long cable creates the hypotenuse of a right triangle, with the extended of the other two sides of size 20 m * cos(30 deg), which is around 17.3 m. Therefore, the ball has increased by 20 m - 17.3 m = 2.7 m.

The potential energy will have altered by m*g*h, which is 1400 kg * 9.8 m/s^2 * 1.6 m , or about 37044 joules.

A car travelling 95 km/h is 210 behind a truck travelling 75 km/h. how long will it take the care to reach the truck
masya89 [10]
37.8 seconds First, determine the speed difference between the car and truck. 95 km/h - 75 km/h = 20 km/h Convert that speed into m/s to make a more convenient unit of measure. 20 km/h * 1000 m/km / 3600 s/h = 5.556 m/s Now it's simply a matter of dividing the distance between the two vehicles and their relative speed. 210 m / 5.556 m/s = 37.8 s So it will take 37.8 seconds for the car to catch the truck that's 210 meters in front of the car.
