D) True. As you increase the wavelength, the frequency decreases.

I believe this because when you [increase the frequency the wavelength decreases]. D is just the other way around> (When the wavelength is increased, the frequency decreases) So its just flipped

...:D I hope you get it!

write a generalization correlating solubility with ionization. start with: "as compounds become more ionized,..."
Tema [17]

Answer:

the solubility increases

Explanation:

The solubility of any ionic compound is due to the ionization of the compound and then the strong ion-dipole interactions acting between the ions and the solvent.

Thus, solubility also depends on the extent of the ionization of the salt.

The more the salt ionizes, the more there is ion-dipole interaction between the ions the solvent and more is the solubility.

Which of these compounds has the correct chemical formula? 1. ba3po4 2. (nh4)2so4 3. mg2oh 4. lif2 5. caoh?
sergiy2304 [10]
Ba3PO4 is not neutral, it is positive.  (NH4)2SO4 is neutral, the charges cancel.
Mg2OH is not neutral, it is positive.  LiF2 is not neutral, it is negative.  CaOH is not neutral, it is positive.  The answer is (NH4)2SO4, correct ions will have a neutral charge.

When a compound is dissolved in hot ethanol during a recrystallization, what is changing on a molecular level? The intermolecula
Feliz [49]

Answer:

The intermolecular forces between the solute and solvent.

Explanation:

When you are heating a solvent, the intermolecular forces are reduced because the distances between molecules are large. Thus, in a solution where solvent is hot the intermolecular forces between solute and solvent are lower than those solutions where solvent is in room temperature.

The covalent bonds do not change because this mean a chemical reaction that doesn't occur in a solution.

Usually solid solutes melts in a higher temperature than boiling point in solvents. Thus, a compound normally doesn't melt in a hot solvent.

I hope it helps!
