What is the approximate partial pressure of oxygen at 1500 m?
elena55 [62]

The approximate partial pressure of oxygen at 1500 m is 0.18 atm.

Pressure of the air

From barometric pressure table;

1500 m = 85 kPa

1 kPa = 0.0099 atm

85 kPa = ?

= 0.84 atm

Oxygen percentage in air = 21%

Partial pressure of oxygen in air

P = 0.21 x P(total)

P = 0.21 x 0.84 atm

P = 0.18 atm

Thus, the approximate partial pressure of oxygen at 1500 m is 0.18 atm.

A nitride ion has 7 protons, 8 neutrons, and 10 electrons. What is the overall charge on this ion?
xz_007 [3.2K]
The correct answer is: -3 (minus three)

Explanation:
To find the overall charge, we add electrons and protons. Make sure that you use the negative sign for an electron and positive sign for proton.

There are 10 electrons. It means the charge is "-10"
There are 7 protons. It means the charge is "+7"

Add both of them:

+7 - 10 = -3

Therefore the overall charge on this ion is -3.
