According to Ohm's Law, the voltage is equal to the current multiplied by resistance. Presenting the law in equation form:

V = IR

This law still applies in an R2-D2 droid circuit. Rearranging the equation:

I = V/R

Hence, the current is inversely proportional to the resistance.

A stockroom worker pushes a box with mass 11.2 kg on a horizontal surface with a constant speed of 3.30 m/s . The coefIficient o
Artemon [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

Mass =11.2kg

Constant velocity =3.3m/s

μk=0.25

Since the body is moving in constant velocity, then the acceleration is zero(0).

ΣF = Σ(ma)

The normal force acting on the body is upward and the weight is acting downward

Then ΣFy=0

Therefore, N=W

W=mg=11.2×9.8=109.76N

So, N=W=109.76N

Frictional force is given as

Fr=μkN

Fr=0.25×109.76

Fr=27.44N

Frictional force acting against the motion is 27.44N

Then the forward force moving the body forward

ΣF = Σ(ma)

Since a = 0

Then,

ΣF = 0

F-Fr=0

Then F=Fr

So the force moving the body forward is 27.44N

On a planet where g = 10.0 m/s2 and air resistance is negligible, a sled is at rest on a rough inclined hill rising at 30°. The
Cloud [144]

Answer:

Explanation:

a is the acceleration

μ is the coefficient of friction

Acceleration of the object is given by

a = g (\sin  \theta -\mu \cos \theta)\\\\=10( \sin 30 - 0.4 \cos 30)\\\\=10(0.5-0.3464)\\\\=1.54m/s^2

Velocity at the bottom

v^2=u^2+2as\\\\u=0\\\\v^2=2as\\\\=2*1.54*8\\\\=24.576\\\\v=4.96m/s

after travelling 4m , its velocity becomes 0

a=\frac{v^2-u^2}{2s}

a=\frac{0-u^2}{2s}

a=\frac{-(-4.96)^2}{2*4} \\\\=-3.075m/s^2

Coefficient of kinetic friction

μ = F/N

=\frac{ma}{mg} \\\\=\frac{3.075}{10} \\\\=0.31

Therefore, the Coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.31

A. What is the RMS speed of Helium atoms when the temperature of the Helium gas is 343.0 K? (Possibly useful constants: the atom
kkurt [141]

Answer:

(a) 1462.38 m/s

(b) 2068.13 m/s

Explanation:

(a)

The Kinetic energy of the atom can be given as:

K.E = (3/2)KT

where,

K = Boltzman's Constant = 1.38 x 10⁻²³ J/k

K.E = Kinetic Energy of atoms = 343 K

T = absolute temperature of atoms

The K.E is also given as:

K.E = (1/2)mv²

Comparing both equations:

(1/2)mv² = (3/2)KT

v² = 3KT/m

v = √[3KT/m]

where,

m = mass of Helium = (4 A.M.U)(1.66 X 10⁻²⁷ kg/ A.M.U) = 6.64 x 10⁻²⁷ kg

v = RMS Speed of Helium Atoms = ?

Therefore,

v = √[(3)(1.38 x 10⁻²³ J/K)(343 K)/(6.64 x 10⁻²⁷ kg)]

<u>v = 1462.38 m/s</u>

(b)

For double temperature:

T = 2 x 343 K = 686 K

all other data remains same:

v = √[(3)(1.38 x 10⁻²³ J/K)(686 K)/(6.64 x 10⁻²⁷ kg)]

<u>v = 2068.13 m/s</u>
