To test the effectiveness of a gunpowder mixture, 1 gram was exploded under controlled STP conditions, and the reaction chamber

was found to expand to 310 cm3. What volume would these gases occupy at the temperature produced by an uncontrolled explosion (2,200°C) and 2.1 atmospheres of pressure?

Given:

STP (initial) conditions where: P1 = 1 atm and T1 = 298 K

Volume of gas V1 = 310 cm3

Final conditions:

P1 = 2.1 atm

T2 = 2200 + 273 = 2473 K

To determine:

The final volume (V2) occupied by the gas

Explanation:

Using the combined gas law relation:-

P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2

V2 = (P1V1/T1)(T2/P2)

    = (1*310/298)(2473/2.1) = 1225 cm3

Ans: The volume occupied by the gas under uncontrolled explosion is 1225 cm3

Taya2010 [7]

Answer;

They are made up of elements.

Explanation;

  • An atom is the smallest particle of matter that still retains the property of the element.
  • Two or more atoms combine to form elements or compounds. Elements are formed by two or more similar atoms, while compounds are formed by two or more different elements.
  • Atoms are made up of subatomic particles; protons, electrons and neutrons. Electrons are negatively charged, protons are positively charged while neutrons have no charge.

Why has the acidity of the ocean increased over the years?
aalyn [17]

Answer:

I think it's A

Explanation:

Carbon dioxide is added to the atmosphere whenever people burn fossil fuels. ... As the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere rises, the oceans absorb a lot of it. In the ocean, carbon dioxide reacts with seawater to form carbonic acid. This causes the acidity of seawater to increase.
