Scientists studying an anomalous magnetic field find that it is inducing a circular electric field in a plane perpendicular to t
yarga [219]

Answer

The rate at which the magnetic field is changing is  [\frac{dB}{dt} ] = 0.000467 T/s

Explanation

From the question we are told that

   The electric field strength is E =  3.5mV/m =  3.5 *10^{-3} \ V/m

    The radius is  r =  1.5 \ m

The rate of change of the  magnetic  field  is mathematically represented as

        \frac{d \phi }{dt}  =  \int\limits^{} {E \cdot dl}

Where dl is change of a unit length

     \frac{d \phi}{dt}  =  A *  \frac{dB}{dt}

Where A is the area which is mathematically represented as

     A = \pi r^2

    So

    E \int\limits^{} {  dl} =  ( \pi r^2) (\frac{dB}{dt} )

  E L  =  ( \pi r^2) (\frac{dB}{dt} )

where L is the circumference of the circle which is mathematically represented as

     L = 2 \pi r

So

     E (2 \pi r ) =  (\pi r^2 ) [\frac{dB}{dt} ]

      E  =   \frac{r}{2}  [\frac{dB}{dt} ]

       [\frac{dB}{dt} ] = \frac{E}{ \frac{r}{2} }

substituting values

      [\frac{dB}{dt} ] = \frac{3.5 *10^{-3}}{ \frac{15}{2} }

      [\frac{dB}{dt} ] =  0.000467 T/s

Why does Quito, Equator has very little changes to the daylight hours<br> throughout the year?
marin [14]

Because of the position on the equator, the change in rotation of the Earth on its axis throughout the year doesn't affect it much. Unlike the poles, Quito is almost constantly in direct view of the sun. So, because of lack of change in rotation, the daylight hours are hardly varied as Quito is almost constantly in more or less the same spot in relation to the sun.

radio waves travel at the speed of light, 3 x 10^8 m/s. the wavelength of a radio wave record is 200,000,000 hz is?
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

1.5m

Explanation:

Speed of waves is given as the product of the wavelength and frequency. Sometimes when frequency is not given but the period is given, we get the frequency as the reciprocal of the period. The speed of waves is given in m/s, wavelength in m while frequency in Hz.

Speed, s= fw and making w the subject of formula,

w=\frac {s}{f}

Substituting 300, 000, 000 m/s for s and 200, 000, 000 for f then we obtain that

w=\frac {300000000}{200000000}=1.5 m

Two identical loudspeakers 2.00 m apart are emitting sound waves into a room where the speed of sound is 340 m/s. Abby is standi
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

242.85 Hz

Explanation:

For maximum intensity of sound, the path difference,ΔL = (n + 1/2)λ/2 where n = 0,1,2...

Since Abby is standing perpendicular to one speaker, the path length for the sound from the other speaker to him is L₁ = √(2.00² + 5.50²) = √(4.00 + 30.25) = √34.25 = 5.85 m.

The path difference to him is thus ΔL = 5.85 m - 5.50 m = 0.35 m.

Since ΔL = (n + 1/2)λ/2 and for lowest frequency n = 0,

ΔL = (n + 1/2)λ/2 = (0 + 1/2)λ/2 = λ/4

ΔL = λ = v/f and f = v/4ΔL where f = frequency of wave and v = velocity of sound wave = 340 m/s.

f = 340/(4 × 0.35) = 242.85 Hz
