Use the eq. of Young modulus Y=(F/A)/(∆l/lo)
dimana ∆l is the elongation of wire, lo is its initial length.
So ∆l = (F/A)lo/Y.
∆l = (1000N/(6.5 × 10^-7 m^2))×(2.5m)/(2.0 × 10^-11 N/m^2)
Use calculator to finish it.

A circuit is set up such that it has a current of 8 A. What would be the new current if the resistance was increased by a factor
RUDIKE [14]

Answer:

4 A

Explanation:

The relationship between current, voltage and resistance in a circuit is given by Ohm's law:

V=RI

where

V is the voltage

R is the resistance

I is the current

The equation can also be rewritten as

I=\frac{V}{R}

from which we see that the current is inversely proportional to the resistance, R.

In this problem, the initial current is I = 8 A. Then the resistance is doubled:

R ' = 2R

So the new current is

I'=\frac{V}{R'}=\frac{V}{2R}=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{V}{R})=\frac{I}{2}=4 A

so the current is halved.

Find the change in kinetic energy of a 1.0 kg fish leaping to the right at 12.0 m/s.
sp2606 [1]

Answer:

6J

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of fish  = 1kg

Velocity  = 12m/s

Unknown:

Change in kinetic energy = ?

Solution:

Kinetic energy is the energy due to the motion of a body. It is mathematically given as:

       K.E  = \frac{1}{2}  m v²

Now, insert the parameters and solve;

  K.E  =  \frac{1}{2}  x 1 x 12  = 6J

The change in kinetic energy is 6J

Analyze the chemical reaction below
34kurt

Answer:

Please find the answer in the explanation.

Explanation:

Given that 16 g CH4 + 64 g 02 - 44 g CO2 + 36g H2O

To explain the law of conservation of mass and describe how the equation represents the law of conservation of mass, let me first start from law.

The law state that: mass can neither be created nor destroyed.

The mass of each element at the reaction side must be equal or the Same with the magnitude of mass at the product

The equation represents the law of conservation of mass because the mass of molecules at the right hand side is equal to or balance with the molecules at the left hand side. For example, the number of Oxygen, and othe elements are the at both side.

seropon [69]

Answer:

1.F = 256 N

2.a = 8 m/s/s

By looking at the given information, you know force, and an acceleration. Therefore you have enough information to use the first formula.

F = ma

256 N = m * 8 m/s/s

m = 256 N/8 m/s/s

m = 32 Kg
