Balance equation for given reaction is,

                 6 Fe²⁺ + Cr₂O₇²⁻ + 14 H⁺  →  6 Fe³⁺ + 2 Cr³⁺ + 7 H₂O

Oxidation Reaction:

                                      6 Fe²⁺   →   6 Fe³⁺ + 6 e⁻

Iron has lost 2 electron per mole and 6 electrons per 6 moles. As Fe oxidation state of Fe has changed from +2 to +3 so it has lost one electron and is oxidized.

Reduction Reaction:

                                   Cr₂O₇²⁻ +  6 e⁻   →     2 Cr³⁺

Chromium has gained 3 electrons per mole and 6 electrons per 2 moles. As oxidation state of Cr has changed from +6 to +3 so it has gained 3 electrons and is reduced.

If 5.12 liters of a 2.75 M phosphoric acid is neutralized by magnesium hydroxide solution of 4.00 M.
Tresset [83]

Answer:

5.28 L

Explanation:

Step 1:

Data obtained from the question.

Volume of acid (Va) = 5.12L

Molarity of acid (Ma) = 2.75M

Molarity of base (Mb) = 4M

Volume of base (Vb) =.?

Step 2:

The balanced equation for the reaction

2H3PO4 + 3Mg(OH)2 → Mg3(PO4)2 + 6H2O

From the balanced equation above,

Mole ratio of the acid (nA) = 2

Mole ratio of the base (nB) = 3

Step 3:

Determination of the volume of the base.

This is illustrated below:

MaVa/MbVb = nA/nB

2.75 x 5.12 / 4 x Vb = 2/3

Cross multiply

4 x 2 x Vb = 2.75 x 5.12 x 3

Divide both side by 4 x 2

Vb = (2.75 x 5.12 x 3)/(4 x 2)

Vb = 5.28 L

Therefore, the volume of the base is 5.28 L

Sever21 [200]

this shows that magnesium is higher in the reactivity series than lead.

I don't think there can be an ionic equation written because both components are in solid form and neither is in an aqeuos state.

Tuliskan persamaan tetapan kesetimbangan untuk reaksi-reaksi berikut a. Fe3+(aq) + SCN– (aq) ↔ FeSCN3+(aq) b. 3Fe(s) + 4H2O(g) ↔
nevsk [136]

Answer:

a. K_c = \dfrac{[ FeSCN^{3+}_{(aq)}] }{[Fe^{3+}_{(aq)}] [SCN^-_{(aq)}]}

b. K_p = \dfrac{[H_2]^4}{[H_2O]^4}

Explanation:

Untuk semua jenis reaksi umum:

aA + bB\iff cC + dD

Konstanta kesetimbangan K_c = \dfrac{[C]^c [D]^d}{[A]^a[B]^b}

Dari pertanyaan yang diberikan:

a. Fe3^+_{(aq)} + SCN^-_{ (aq)} \iff FeSCN^{3+}_{(aq) }

Konstanta kesetimbangan:

K_c = \dfrac{[ FeSCN^{3+}_{(aq)}] }{[Fe^{3+}_{(aq)}] [SCN^-_{(aq)}]}

b. 3Fe_{(s)} + 4H_2O_{(g)} \iff Fe_3O_4_{(s)} + 4H_{2(g)}

Konstanta kesetimbangan untuk tekanan parsial K_p

K_p = \dfrac{[H_2]^4}{[H_2O]^4}

Karena Fe3O4 (s) hadir sebagai padatan.

The volume of a unit cell of calcium is 0.1730 nm3nm3 and the density of calcium is 1.54 g/cm3g/cm3 .
Whitepunk [10]

The answer is 4.

Unit cell: The 3D arrangement of atoms, molecules, or ions in a crystal is called a crystal lattice. A unit cell is the smallest part of the crystal lattice that shows the three-dimensional pattern of the entire crystal.

How to find the number of atoms in a unit cell?

  • Density of a unit cell is defined as the mass of a unit cell per the volume occupied by that unit cell.
  • The formula to calculate the density (d) of a unit cell is-

d =\frac{ZM}{a^{3}.N}

Where d is the density of metal.

M is the molar mass of the metal

a is the edge side of unit cell.

Z is the number of atoms

N is the Avagadro's number

  • Now, for calcium atom, M = 40.1 g/mol

Volume = a^{3} = 0.1730 nm^{3} =0.1730 * 10^{-21} cm^{3}

d = 1.54 g/cm^{3}

N = 6.022 * 10^{23}  atoms/mole

Thus, number of atoms within the unit cell are calculated as-

Z = \frac{d* a^{3}*N }{M} \\\\Z =\frac{(1.54 g/cm^{3} )* (0.1730*10^{-21} cm^{3})*(6.022*10^{23}) }{40.1\ g/mol} \\\\\\Z = 4.00

  • Hence, there are 4 atoms in the unit cell of calcium.
