Physics

Answer:

The angular dispersion of a prism depends on the index of refraction only.

Explanation:

The angular dispersion of a prism mainly depends upon the refractive index of a material. And this refractive index is dependent on the wavelength of light. Each colour possesses its own characteristic and the wavelength is also different. There has been a relation between refractive index of a material and wavelength of light  higher the wavelength of the colour, greater would be the dispersion of light. As like when we passes light from a prism, according to this principle, the colours are dispersed.

All the other options are incorrect as cannot decide angle of dispersion.

Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

Yes.

Explanation:

Yes, we emphasize performance over participation of kids in a competition which causes negative effect on kid's personality. We also prefer those children whose families can afford the fees which is our big failure. We should  emphasize participation over performance and prefer those child who has the ability to win the game instead of those who can afford the fees.

Jake is helping Fin push a box at a constant velocity up an incline that makes an angle of 30.0° above the horizontal by applyin
andre [41]

Given data

The angle of inclination of the plane is theta = 30 degree

The applied force in the inclined plane is F = 94 N

The distance moved in the inclined plane is d = 2.30 m

The coefficient of kinetic friction is u_k = 0.280

The free-body diagram of the above configuration is shown below:

Here, the normal reaction force on the box is N, the acceleration due to gravity is denoted as g, the friction force on the box is F_f, and the mass of the box is denoted as m.

(a)

The expression for the work done by the pushing force is given as:

W=Fd

Substitute the value in the above equation.

\begin{gathered} W=94\text{ N}\times2.30\text{ m} \\ W=216.2\text{ J} \end{gathered}

Thus, the work done by the pushing force is 216.2 J.

(b)

The box is moving at the constant velocity, therefore, the pushing force will be equal to the frictional force and the component of the gravitational force in the inclined plane.

\begin{gathered} F=F_f+mg\sin \theta \\ F=\mu_kN+mg\sin \theta \end{gathered}

The expression for the normal reaction force is given as:

N=mg\cos \theta

The expression for the mass of the box is given as:

\begin{gathered} F=\mu_k\times mg\cos \theta+mg\sin \theta \\ m=\frac{F}{\mu_kg\cos \theta+g\sin \theta} \end{gathered}

Substitute the value in the above equation.

\begin{gathered} m=\frac{94\text{ N}}{0.28\times9.8m/s^2\times\cos 30^o+9.8m/s^2\times\sin 30^0} \\ m=12.9\text{ kg} \end{gathered}

Thus, the mass of the box is 12.9 kg.

The total volume of hydrogen gas needed to fill the hindenburg was 2.09 × 108 l at 1.00 atm and 25.1°
Inessa05 [86]
The solution for this problem:

PV = nRT

But we are looking for n so, alter the original formula:
n = PV / RT

= (1.00 atm) x (2.09 x 10^8 L) / ((0.08205746 L atm/K mol) x  (25.1 + 273.15 K))

= 8539801.26 mol H2
total volume = (8539801.26 mol H2) x (-286 kJ/mol H2) = -2.44 x 10^9 k J

A 5.0-cm by 7.0-cm rectangular coil has 100 turns. Its axis makes an angle of 65° with a uniform magnetic field of 0.55 T. What
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

0.0814 Wb

Explanation:

L = length of the rectangular coil = 5 cm = 0.05 m

w = width of rectangular coil = 7 cm = 0.07 m

A = Area of the coil = L w = 0.05 x 0.07 = 35 x 10⁻⁴ m²

B = magnitude of uniform magnetic field = 0.55 T

θ = angle of axis of coil with magnetic field = 65°

Magnetic flux through the coil is given as

Φ = N B A Cosθ

Φ = (100) (0.55) (35 x 10⁻⁴ ) Cos65

Φ = 0.0814 Wb

AURORKA [14]
Since the net force is the amount of force favoring the side with the most force acted upon it,

100 - 50 = 50
