Answer:

Energy is absorbed in the reaction.

Explanation:

When energy of reactants is greater than the energy of products then there is need to provide energy to break the bonds of reactants. Such kind of reactions are called endothermic reactions. Hence, if in a reaction, energy of reactants is greater than the energy products then energy will absorb in that reaction.

Answer:

In an endothermic reaction, the products have more stored chemical energy than the reactants. In an exothermic reaction, the opposite is true. The products have less stored chemical energy than the reactants. The excess energy in the reactants is released to the surroundings when the reaction occurs.

A human being can be electrocuted if a current as small as 51.0 ma passes near the heart. an electrician working with sweaty han
boyakko [2]

The fatal current is 51 mA = 0.051 Ampere.

The resistance is 2,050Ω .

Voltage = (current) x (resistance)

            =  (0.051 Ampere) x (2,050 Ω)  =  104.6 volts .

==================

This is what the arithmetic says IF the information in the question
is correct.

I don't know how true this is, and I certainly don't plan to test it,
but I have read that a current as small as  15 mA  through the
heart can be fatal, not  51 mA .

If 15 mA can do it, and the sweaty electrician's resistance is
really 2,050 Ω, then the fatal voltage could be as little as  31 volts !

The voltage at the wall-outlets in your house is  120 volts in the USA !
THAT's why you don't want to stick paper clips or a screwdriver into
outlets, and why you want to cover unused outlets with plastic plugs
if there are babies crawling around.

According to Lenz's law, the induced current in a circuit always flows to oppose the external magnetic field through the circuit
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

True.

Explanation:

According to Lenz's law, the induced current in a circuit always flows to oppose the external magnetic field through the circuit. This statement is true.

The Faraday's law of induction is given by :

\epsilon=-\dfrac{d\phi}{dt}

Here, negative sign shows that the direction of induced emf is such that opposes the changing current that is its cause.

Hence, the statement is true.

Q11) If you were standing at the top of a building and you dropped a rock.
Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

Part A

The distance travel by the rock is approximately 132.496 m

Part B

The speed when the rock hits the ground is approximately 50.96 m/s

Explanation:

Part A

The question is focused on the kinetics equation of a free falling object

The given parameter is the time it takes the rock to hit the ground, t = 5.2 s

For an object in free fall, we have;

h = 1/2·g·t²

Where;

h = The height from which the object is dropped

g = The acceleration due to gravity ≈ 9.8 m/s²

t = The time taken to travel the distance, h = 5.2 s

∴ h = 1/2 × 9.8 m/s² × (5.2 s)² ≈ 132.496 m

The distance travel by the rock, h ≈ 132.496 m

Part B

The speed, 'v', when the rock hits the ground, is given by the following kinematic equation,

v = g·t

∴ v = 9.8 m/s² × 5.2 s = 50.96 m/s

The speed when the rock hits the ground, v ≈ 50.96 m/s.
