Ethanol with chemical formula of C2H5OH is also known as Ethyl alcohol.

Explanation:

 • The reaction between oil and NaOH or sodium hydroxide is also known as the process of Saponification.
 • The mixture of ethanol and water is completely homogenous, miscible and soluble in all proportions.
 • A mixture of ethanol and water is used to perform this reaction of Saponification is because this mixture of ethanol plus water prevents fat from reacting with oxygen present in the air.
 • Since this mixture is less polar than water it will help to dissolve all the non-polar fats present, making its reaction with Sodium hydroxide easier.

glucose 6‑phosphate+H2O⟶glucose+Pi glucose 6‑phosphate+H2O⟶glucose+Pi K′eq1=270 K′eq1=270 ATP+glucose⟶ADP+glucose 6‑phosphate AT
ddd [48]

Answer:

-30.7 kj/mol

Explanation:

The standard free energy for the given reaction that is the hydrolysis of ATP is calculated using the formula: ∆Go ’= -RTln K’eq

where,

R = -8.315 J / mo

T = 298 K

For reaction,

1. K′eq1=270,

∆Go ’= -RTln K’eq

= - 8.315 x 298 x ln 270

= - 8.315 x 298 x 5.59

= - 13,851.293 J / mo

= - 13.85 kj/mol

2. K′eq2=890

∆Go ’= -RTln K’eq

= - 8.315 x 298 x ln 890

= - 8.315 x 298 x 6.79

= - 16.82 kj/mol

therefore, total standard free energy

= - 13.85 + (-16.82)

= -30.7 kj/mol

Thus, -30.7 kj/mol is the correct answer.

What can be added to an atom to cause a nonvalence electron in the atom to temporarily become a valence electron?
vazorg [7]

Answer:

What can be added to an atom to cause a nonvalence electron in the atom to temporarily become a valence electron is energy.

Explanation:

The normal state of the atoms, where all the electrons are occupying the lowest possible energy level, is called ground state.

The valence electrons are the electrons that occupy the outermost shell, this is the electrons in the highest main energy level (principal quantum number) of the atom.

So, a nonvalence electron occupies an orbital with less energy than what a valence electron does; in consequence, in order to a nonvalence electron jump from its lower energy level to the higher energy level of a valence electron, the former has to absorb (gain) energy.

This new state is called excited state and is temporary: the electron promoted to the higher energy level will emit the excess energy, in the form of light (photons), to come back to the lower energy level and so the atom return to the ground state.
