Answer:

No immediate effect is observed

Explanation:

If you put ouabain, an inhibitor of the Na+-K+ pump, on a neuron and then stimulate the neuron repeatedly, there would be no immediate effect to the  action potentials generated by the neuron because Na+ gets stucked inside  the cell, the depolarization slope gets steeper, and the duration of the action potential shortens because the membrane potential reaches +30 mV and other voltage-gated channels are opening in the membrane.

Which form of bonding has unequal sharing of electrons between two elements?
Vlad1618 [11]

Hello!

Your answer would be polar covalent.

Covalent bonds are where two atoms come together, and share electrons between each other, and are therefore, bonded.

In some cases of molecules that are bonded with a covalent bond, one of the atoms is more, you could call it selfish, and takes more of the electrons. A prime example of this is H20, or water. One of the atoms takes the electrons for longer, and therefore has a more negative charge because electrons are counted as negative charges.

This bond where an atom "hogs" electrons, is called a polar covalent bond, respective to the changing charges for the atoms.

So your answer is d.

Hope this helped!

One way in which elements differ from each other is the structure of the electron cloud in each elements Atoms in electron cloud
BartSMP [9]

Not sure what you are asking. I have two possible answers though...

It could either be more negatively charged, or valence electrons.

The more away from the nucleus a electron is, the more negatively charged it is.

The electrons on the outermost electron shell is valence electrons.

Again, I don't know what you were asking, but one of these answers may be correct.

How are solubility and temperature generally related in a system consisting of a solid solute and a liquid solvent?
Nesterboy [21]

Solubility and temperatures are directly related. The higher the temperature of the solvent, the higher the solubility of the solute in the solvent.

Dissolving a solute in a solvent is an endothermic process hence providing heat favors the  process. Higher temperatures cause the molecules of the solvent to have high kinetic energy hence bombard each other and with that of the solute with high frequency. This then ensures fast diffusion of the solute particles in the solvent.
