Answer:

31.7 °C

Explanation:

Charles law states that for volume of a gas is directly proportional to the absolute temperature for a fixed amount of gas at constant pressure

we can use the following equation

V1/T1 = V2/T2

where V1 is volume and T1 is temperature at first instance

V2 is volume and T2 is temperature at second instance

temperature should be in kelvin scale

T1 - 0 °C + 273 = 273 K

substituting the values in the equation

22.4 L / 273 K = 25.0 L / T2

T2 = 304.7 K

temperature in celcius is - 304.7 K - 273 = 31.7 °C

the gas must be 31.7 °C to reach a volume of 25.0 L

What property of liquid oxygen makes it especially difficult and potentially harmful to work with at home?
irga5000 [103]
The property of liquid oxygen that makes it especially difficult and potentially harmful to work with at home would be its cryogenic temperature. Liquid oxygen is being produced from the compression of oxygen gas to -196 degrees Celsius. As you can see, it has a very cold temperature that is why it used in cryogenics. Although liquid oxygen is non-toxic to humans, it would cause burns that are severe when being touched. Also, it would make certain materials brittle and unstable. Another property that makes it dangerous for use at home would be that it is very flammable. Proper handling is a must for this substance.

Why ph changes disrupt protein's ionic bonds?
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

A change in pH in the protein habitat can modify its ionic bonds because because the chemical equilibrium shifts to one side or the other depends on the modification

Explanation:

The pH influences the charge acquired by the acidic and basic groups present in the molecules. Proteins usually have groups with characteristics of acid or weak base. Therefore, they are partially ionized in solution coexisting in equilibrium different species.

The degree of ionization of the different functional groups is in relation to the pH of the medium in which they are found, since the H3O + and OH- species are part of the equilibrium situation. Therefore, according to the pH, each group with characteristics of weak acid or base present in the molecule will be ionized to a lesser or greater extent. There are extreme situations where the balance has been totally displaced in one direction, for example: under very high pH conditions (low concentration of H3O +) weak acids are considered fully ionized, so the functional group will always have an electric charge. The same goes for the bases at very low pH values. In other equilibrium situations, species of the same molecule with different load will coexist in the solution, due to the pH value of the medium in which it is found.

If an atom has 8 protons. How many electrons does it have? What is the atoms charge?
Juli2301 [7.4K]
The amount if protons is the same as the amount of electrons, so it would be 8. The charge is -2. Look at oxygen in the periodic table.

Unlike acceleration and velocity, speed does NOT need to specify
jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

C) mass.

Explanation:

The speed of a body is given by the relation between the displacement of a body in a given time. It can be considered the greatness that measures how fast a body moves.

Speed analysis is divided into two main topics: average speed and instantaneous speed. It is considered a vector quantity, that is, it has a module (numerical value), a direction (Ex .: vertical, horizontal) and a direction (Ex .: forward, upwards). However, for elementary problems, where there is displacement in only one direction, the so-called one-dimensional movement, it is advisable to treat it as a scalar quantity (with only numerical value).

The mass of an object is not an important factor in determining the speed of that object. However, time, direction and distance are important factors in determining speed.
