The answer is surface tension. The water has an inward attraction because there are no molecules above it (I mean water, at least), and the legs of water bugs repel water, hence, they walk on water.

Hope this helps!

Natasha2012 [34]

Answer:

  • <u><em>Option A.) 2 ppm</em></u>

Explanation:

<u><em>60 particles in 30 million</em></u> can be expressed as a fraction:

  • \frac{60}{30million}

And, dividing both numerator and denominator by 30, that can be simplified as:

  • \frac{2}{1million}

That means 2 particles of sulfur dioxide in 1 million particles of sample, which is 2 parts per million or<u> 2 ppm</u>, which is the option A.

Calculate the number of atoms in 5 moles H₂O.
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer:

90.35 × 10²³ atoms

Solution:

1 molecules of H20 contains 3 atoms,.

And we know that one mole of any molecule contains 6.023 × 10²³ atoms from Avogadro's number,

hence 5 moles of H20 will contain = 5× 6.023 × 10²³ × 3 atoms = 90.35 × 10²³ atoms!
