Predict the products of the following reaction based upon solubility rules. (Separate substances in a list with a comma. Include

states-of-matter under the given conditions in your answer. Cl-1 is soluble unless with Pb+2, H2+2, and Ag+1. CO3 is unsoluble unless with Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, NH4+.

Hey there!:

As per solubility rules inorganic compounds that are soluble are

:Ammonium (NH4⁺),potassium (K⁺), sodium (Na⁺) : All ammonium, potassium and sodium salts are soluble. Exceptions:some transition metal compounds.

Bromides (Br⁻), chlorides (Cl⁻) and iodides (I⁻): Most bromides are soluble. Exceptions: salts containing silver, lead, and mercury.

So Rb2Cl2 is expected to be soluble.

As per solubility rules inorganic compounds that are insoluble are : Carbonates (CO₃²⁻), chromates (CrO₄²⁻), phosphates (PO₄³⁻), silicates (SiO₄²⁻): All carbonates, chromates, phosphates and silicates are insoluble. Exceptions: those of ammonium, potassium and sodium.

So CaCO3 is insoluble and precipitates

Therefore:

The completed equation is :

Rb2CO3(aq) + CaCl2(aq) → CaCO3(s) + Rb2Cl2(aq)

Hope that helps!

The volume of the earth is approximately 1.08326x10 to the 12th power km to the 3rd power. How many liters is this
mafiozo [28]

Here, we are required to determine the volume of the earth which is 1.08326 × 10¹² km³ in liters.

The volume of the earth is approximately,

, 1.08326 × 10²⁴ liters

By conversion factors;

 • 1dm³ = 1liter
 • However; 1km = 10000dm = 10⁴ dm
 • Therefore, 1km³ = (10⁴)³ dm³.

Consequently, 1km³ = 10¹²dm³ = 10¹²liters.

The conversion factor from 1km³ to liters is therefore, c.f = 10¹²liters/km³

Therefore, the volume of the earth which is approximately, 1.08326 × 10¹² km³ can be expressed in liters as;

1.08326 × 10¹² km³ × 10¹²liters/km³

The volume of the earth is approximately,

1.08326 × 10²⁴ liters.
