The problem can solved using the heat equation which is expressed as:

H = mCΔT

 where H is the energy absorbed or released, m is the mass of the substance, C is the specific heat capacity, and ΔT is the change in temperature.

2208 J = 41 g x 4.18 J/g·°C x ( T - 24 °C)
T = 36.88 °C

Give reason why wood is solid?
VARVARA [1.3K]

Solid wood is a term most commonly used to distinguish between ordinary lumber and engineered wood, but it also refers to structures that do not have hollow spaces. Engineered wood products are manufactured by binding together wood strands, fibers, or veneers with adhesives to form a composite material.

Based on the information I would assume B, 73 degrees...

It shouldn't be A, 4 minutes on the burner should increase the temperature.

If it were D, it would be beyond boiling, and water takes a decent amount of energy to heat, D should be all vapor.

Same logic for C, it's basically almost boiling.

I would say 73 degrees seems most reasonable for 4 minutes.

Write the concentrated sulphuric acid H2C2O42H2O=2H2O+CO2+CO
masha68 [24]

Answer:

H2C2O4.2H20 → CO2 + CO + H2O

Explanation:

Oxalic acid crystals are nothing but dehydrated oxalic acid (H2C2O4 . 2H2O).

On heating, the water of crystallization is lost first. Then, the dehydrated oxalic acid decomposes into carbon dioxide(CO2), carbon monoxide(CO) and water(H2O).

Equations involved :

H2C2O4 . 2H2O → H2C2O4 + 2H2O

H2C2O4 → CO2 + HCOOH (FORMIC ACID)

HCOOH → CO + H2O

Overall equation : H2C2O4.2H20 → CO2 + CO + H2O
