Two loops of wire are arranged so that a changing current in one, the primary, will induce a current in the other, the secondary

. The secondary loop has twice as many turns as the primary loop. As long as the current in the primary is steady at 3.0 A, the current in the secondary will be:

Answer: 1A

Explanation: for an ideal transformer, the relationship between number of turns and current is given below as

Ip/ Is = Ns/ Np

Where Ip = current in primary loop = 3A

Is = current in secondary loop =?

Np = number of turns in primary loop = n

Ns = number of turns in secondary loop = 3n

By substituting the parameters, we have that

3/Is = 3n/n

3/Is = 3

3 = 3 × Is

Is = 3/3 = 1A

Current in the secondary loop is 1A

Answer:

the current in the secondary loop will be = 1.5A

Explanation:

In an ideal transformer, conservation of energy requires that power out to equal power in Thus, Ip x Vp = Vs x Is, or Ip = Vs x Is / Vp.

Since Vs = Ns x Vp / Np, Ip can be rewritten as Ip = ( Ns x Vp / Np ) x Is / Vp, or equivalently, Ip = Ns x Is / Np, or Ns x Is = Np x Ip

Thus, Np x Ip = Ns x Is

Where;

Ip = current in primary loop = 3A

Is = current in secondary loop

Np = number of turns in primary loop = n

Ns = number of turns in secondary loop = 3n

Now, we are told that the current in the primary loop is 3 A. So, Ip = 3A

We are also told that the secondary loop has twice as many turns as the primary loop. Thus, let's call the number of of turns in primary loop "y" Thus, Np = y and Ns = 2y

Let's plug these values into;

Np x Ip = Ns x Is

y x 3 = 2y x Is

Divide both sides by 2y;

3y/2y = 2y(Is)/2y

2y will cancel out, on the right and y will cancel out on the left,

so Is = 3/2A = 1.5A

PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer:

Magnitude the net torque about its axis of rotation is 2.41 Nm

Solution:

As per the question:

The radius of the wrapped rope around the drum, r = 1.33 m

Force applied to the right side of the drum, F = 4.35 N

The radius of the rope wrapped around the core, r' = 0.51 m

Force on the cylinder in the downward direction, F' = 6.62 N

Now, the magnitude of the net torque is given by:

\tau_{net} = \tau + \tau'

where

\tau = Torque due to Force, F

\tau' = Torque due to Force, F'

tau = F\times r

tau' = F'\times r'

Now,

\tau_{net} = - F\times r + F'\times r'

\tau_{net} = - 4.35\times 1.33 + 6.62\times 0.51 = - 2.41\ Nm

The net torque comes out to be negative, this shows that rotation of cylinder is in the clockwise direction from its stationary position.

Now, the magnitude of the net torque:

|\tau_{net}| = 2.41\ Nm

1. Straight-in spaces can leave you a safer out if
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

C. you're able to reverse out of the parking spot

Explanation:

Straight-in parking is an approach of parking that allows a more flexible traffic layout where a driver can approach the spot from either direction and still safely park within the lines. It thus helps to prevent blockage of cars. Each car can move in and out freely preventing it from congestion.

This way of parking can leave you safe when you able to reverse out of the parking spot. It gives you greater control and makes it easier to maneuver out space. The benefits of Straight-in parking are,

- Allows for two-way traffic

- Drivers can line up the vehicle from multiple angles

- Saves time for drivers

Which of the following electromagnetic waves is not used for communication?
lutik1710 [3]
Microwaves and radio waves are employed in radio and satellite communications while infrared waves are used in remote controls and infrared features of new phones and other electrons. However, gamma rays have far too much energy and cause damage to the body. They are not used in communication.

Explanation:

You are asked to select the correct answer

1)  The conservation of energy is one of the most important principles of physics that allows solving countless problems in life.

the correct answer is D

2) when a body falls, the gravitational potential energy is transformed into kinetic energy and both are transformed into thermal energy

the correct answer is D

3) When the gravitational potential energy is maximum, the kinetic energy is minimum and when the kinetic energy is maximum, the gravitational energy is minimum.

Correct answer B

4) speed is defined by

         v = x / t

so the correct answer is B in the SI system

5) when we repeat a measurement several times, the random or statistical errors decrease, therefore the confidence of the measurement increases.

Consider the speed of light in another universe to be only 100 m/s. Two cars are traveling along a highway in opposite direction
olganol [36]

Answer:

-62.45m/s and +62.45m/s

Explanation:

The formula for relativistic speed

This is the speed of A with respect to B

V_{AB}=\frac{V_{A}-V_{B}}{1-\frac{V_{A}V_{B}}{C^2} }

where

V_{A} will be the velocity of person 1: 39m/s

V_{B} will be the velocity of person 2: -31m/s (negative because is travelling in opposite direction)

and C the velocity of light: 100m/s

The velocity of person 1 measured by person 2 is:

V_{AB}=\frac{39m/s-(-31m/s)}{1-\frac{(39m/s)(-31m/s)}{(100m/s)^2}}=62.45m/s

The velocity of person 2 measured by person 1 is:

V_{BA}=\frac{V_{B}-V_{A}}{1-\frac{V_{B}V_{A}}{C^2} }

V_{BA}=\frac{-31m/s-39m/s}{1-\frac{(-31m/s)(39m/s)}{(100)^2} }=-62.45m/s
