What is the formula of finding displacement

Physics
1 answer:
xenn [34]3 years ago

Displacement is the final position of the object minus the initial position of the object.
Xf - Xi. Displacement is not the distance of the object. If you go to the right 10m and to the left another 10m, your displacement is 0m. But your distance is 20m

Calculate the force that the 4kg block exerts on the 10kg block
Kryger [21]
Acceleration=force/mass=28/(10+4)=2m/s^2

force10kg=ma=10*2
force4kg=ma=(10*2)=20
the4 kg is pushing against the 10kg block

vf=vi+at
-10=20*28/14 * t
t=30/2=15sec

i hope this can help you.

d1i1m1o1n [39]

If "0.3 minute" is correct, then it's 9,543,272 Joules.

If it's supposed to say "0.3 SECOND", then the KE is 2,651 Joules.

When an apple falls towards the earth,the earth moves up to meet the apple. Is this true?If yes, why is the earth's motion not n
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

Yes, when an apple falls towards the earth, the apple gets accelerated and comes down due to the gravitational force of attraction used by the earth. The apple also exerts an equal and opposite force on the earth but the earth does not move because the mass of the apple is very small, due to which the gravitational force produces a large acceleration in it (a = F/m) but the mass of the earth is very large, the same gravitational force produces very small acceleration in the earth and we don't see the earth rising towards the apple.

luda_lava [24]

Answer:

500000N/m²

5250N

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Depth(H) = 50m

Density of water  = 1000kg/m³

Acceleration of free fall = 10m/s

Unknown:

Pressure the water exerts on the diver = ?

Solution:

Pressure is the force per unit area on a body. In fluids, pressure is the product of density, gravity and height

  Pressure in fluids = Density x acceleration due to gravity x height

Input the variables and solve;

    Pressure in fluids  = 1000 x 10 x 50  = 500000N/m²

B.

width of window = 150mm

height of window = 70mm

Force water exerts on the window = ?

To solve this problem;

         Pressure  = \frac{Force}{Area}

Area of the window = width x height  = 150 x 10⁻³ x 70 x 10⁻³

                                                           = 1.05 x 10 ⁻²m²

Force  = pressure x area

Input the variables;

             = 500000N/m²   x  1.05 x 10 ⁻²m²

             = 5250N

Which of the following statements is true for a cell placed in beaker containing an isotonic solution?
Korvikt [17]
An isotonic solution is a solution in which concentration or solute is equal to that of a cell placed in it. Thus, the system is in dynamic equilibrium, and so water molecules flow in both directions.
The correct answer is C. water molecules flow in both directions at the same rate.
