What is the magnitude of the Box's Acceleration?
mojhsa [17]

The Box's Acceleration : g sin θ

Further explanation

Newton's 2nd law explains that the acceleration produced by the resultant force on an object is proportional and in line with the resultant force and inversely proportional to the mass of the object

∑F = m. a

F = force, N

m = mass = kg

a = acceleration due to gravity, m / s²

We plot the forces acting on the block (picture attached) according to the y-axis and the x-axis.

Because the motion of the block is in the same direction as the x-axis, ignoring the friction force with the inclined plane, then

\tt \sum F_x=m.a\\\\W.sin\theta=m.a\\\\mgsin\theta=m.a\\\\a=gsin\thet\theta

The current in a hair dryer measures 15 amps. The resistance of the hair dryer is 14 ohms. What is the voltage?
ZanzabumX [31]
We have that there is a formula connecting these three. V=I*R where V is voltage, I is the current and R is the resistance. Substituting, we get that V=210 Volta, which is the unit of measurement for voltage. You can think of the relationship in the following way : The energy of the field is equal to the flow of the field times the resistance that it meets.

A car has a mass of 1000 kg and accelerates at 2 meters per second per second. what is the magnitude of the net force exerted on
9966 [12]
F=ma
Therefore the net force = 1000kg × 2 metres per second per second
So F=2000 N

A motorcycle accelerated from 10 metre per second to 30 metre per second in 6 seconds. How far did it travel in this time ?
Ber [7]
U=10 m/s
v=30 m/s
t=6 sec

therefore, a=(v-u)/t
                   =(30-10)/6
                   =(10/3) ms^-2

now, displacement=ut+0.5*a*t^2
                              =60+ 0.5*(10/3)*36
                              =120 m
And you can solve it in another way:

v^2=u^2+2as
or, s=(v^2-u^2)/2a
       =(900-100)/6.6666666.......
       =120 m
