This is a right triangle so use the a^2 + b^2 = c^2
40^2 + 25^2 = c^2
1600 + 625 = c^2
2225 = c^2
c = 47.17  or C

You will be colliding two carts in this lab. Select all the systems for which you predict the total momentum of the system will
baherus [9]

From the momentum conservation we know that the initial momentum is equal to the final momentum. The momentum in a singular way can be defined as the product between the mass and the velocity of an object. In the presented system, however, there are two objects, therefore the mass of both and the speed of both, before and after the collision must be taken into account. Mathematically we could describe this as

m_1u_1+m_2u_2 = m_1v_1+m_2v_2

Here,

m_{1,2} = Mass of each object

u_{1,2} = Initial velocity of each object

v_{1,2} = Final velocity of each object

From here we can realize that it is necessary to use the system on both cars to be able to predict what will happen either with their masses, or their speeds.

The correct answer is C.

Examine the scenario. Object A has 5 protons and 5 electrons. Object B has 5 protons and 7 electrons. Which option most accurate
Travka [436]

Object A has a net charge of 0 because the positive and negative
charges are balanced.
Object B has a net charge of –2 because there is an imbalance of
charged particles (2 more negative electrons than positive protons).</span>

which process was found after wegeners time, helped scientists find out how the continents actually move.
Genrish500 [490]
I don't quite know what you're asking so I'll just go on a rant :) Wegener created and supported the continental drift theory, which stated that all of the continents once formed a super continent called Pangea. No one at the time believed in the theory though so he spent the rest of his life trying to find evidence to prove it. However, after he died scientists began to find information that supported his theory. When scientists began to study Earth's surface and the layers below, the theory of the tectonic plates was formed. This theory stated that Earth's crust, the lithosphere, was divided into twelve moving plates. This theory did in fact prove that Wegener's theory was correct. Another theory that proved Wegener's theory to be true was the process of Sea Floor Spreading. This theory stated that at divergent plate boundaries, new ocean floor was being created and the old was being pushed away from the boundary, the old sea floor would then be pushed to deep sea trenches created by convergent plate boundaries and essentially recycled back into the Earth. I hope this helped, sorry it is so long :)
