1. what is the average velocity of a car if it travels from position 25 m to a position of -7 m in 34 seconds ?

Physics

1.

x₀ = initial position of the car = 25 m

x = final position of the car = - 7 m

t = time taken by the car = 34 seconds

displacement of the car is given as

d = change in position = x - x₀ = - 7 - 25 = - 32 m

average velocity of the car is given as

V = d/t

V = - 32/34

V = - 0.94 m/s

2.

after the rock is thrown up in air , the only force acting on the rock is force of gravity in down direction. due to this force , the rock experience acceleration in down direction which is known as the acceleration due to gravity. the magnitude of this acceleration is constant and is given as 9.8 m/s²

You want to lift a heavy box with a mass L = 56.0 kg using the two-ideal pulley system as shown. With what minimum force do you
Olin [163]

The minimum force required to lift the box at constant velocity is determined as 274.4 N.

Minimum force required

The minimum force required to lift the box at constant velocity is the tension in one of the pulleys, and the magnitude is calculated as follows;

2T = mg

where;

 • m is mass of the box
 • T is the minimum force required

2T = mg

T = mg/2

T = (56 x 9.8)/2

T = 274.4 N

Motion can be detected by using background objects that are not moving called_______________ points
gtnhenbr [62]

Answer: A reference point

Explanation: If an object is in motion then its distance from another object is changing. Whether an object is moving or not depends on your point of view. For example, a woman riding on a bus is not moving in relation to the seat she is sitting on, but she is moving in relation to the buildings the bus passes. A reference point is a place or object used for comparison to determine if something is in motion. An object is in motion if it changes position relative to a reference point. You assume that the reference point is stationary, or not moving.
